Against top teams like okc, rockets, heat, which do we struggle with more offense or defense?

both become terrible tbh...

top offensive teams all have a midrange specialist
Aldridge/Bosh/Abaka/Dirk/Jones (vs the Spurs)/Griffin

Griffin isnt a specialist but he always goes off vs SA at least in the reg season
Dirk is the only guy on the top team the Spurs can defend but its more because they iso him then run pick and pops

a big part of our offense is cuts and layups
and vs those athletic teams like OKC they pretty much neutralize that aspect of our offense
no cuts for Manu/Belenelli/Mills
no layups for Parker
Duncan cant score inside vs Perk

You forgot to mention Splitter being unable to score in the post against Fisher or Chalmers

When the opposition breaks the dam athletically, offense leads to defense and defense leads to offense. You can no longer separate the two. Your head is on a swivel either way.

It's like "total football" as the Dutch used to say about their style of soccer -- offense and defense seamlessly blended.

dat 1 play sample size
Duncans failed to score vs smaller players more than Splitter has this season
was hitting the side of backboard vs Dejuan Blair last game

Can't recall Duncan ever having trouble scoring on a 6 ft point guard
