But our current Spurs aren't guaranteed a trip the Finals. They could legitimately lose to the Thunder or Rockets in the playoffs, or Stern could pick up his special, red, point shaving phone, and call his old partner in crime and subordinate Silver, and the Spurs will all of sudden "lose" 4 in a row in the playoffs...
Funny how the Spurs haven't lost 4 in a row since Duncan was drafted 15 years ago, but all of sudden, when the Spurs are up 2-0 in the playoffs, they forget how to play basketball...
All the Spurs fan vets have seen enough playoff games in the Duncan era to know the score.
