I actually agree that Avery's jersey doesn't belong in the rafters. He was a "spurs culture" jersey retirement rather than a merit-based jersey retirement. Okay player with a goddamn annoying voice who had a few good playoff moments.

I'm almost inclined to say the same about Sean Elliott, but the Memorial Day Miracle is the second greatest shot in spurs' history, plus he's contributed solid years as a broadcast commentator.
