It's just the "nuh uh" of any conversation. You cannot talk about nuances of a sport if some faggot like you is going to throw out the ring count. Horry over Jordan defeats that, and though you'd just say "fine, you can have that, I'll take..." as a response, it's just the "nuh uh" using more words.

There's some merit to ring count, but it's not the entire picture of a player vs player comparison, especially when one casually dismisses MVPs but allows for rings, no matter your role when you got the ring. Calling the MVP a "pretty" is just shutting out legitimate aspects of a players career in favor of what you consider your trump card. No knowledgeable fan discounts individual role in the team win when discussing individual comparisons, especially when using a team win as an individual accolade.
