Great win - only thing that concerns me is TP. He still looks off which is scary considering he got so much rest. He had a great first game back, but didn't look explosive as normal even then IMO. Second game back was poor and similar to pre-rest TP. This game was very bad after the first quarter.

Too early to say anything, but with the rest he received you would like to see some consistently better play and him looking more explosive than he does. Perhaps its just a combo of being winded and the fact he played the Heats defense that focused on him. But I am still concerned.

it's just miami, pretty much all of his shots in the paint were contested by lebron, that's hard to pull of tbh.

One of the things I want to take away from this game is how Patty just keeps on the pressure by turning on the speed to go to loose balls and rebounds. Even if he doesn't get the ball he often makes the other guy screw up and turn it over. I think I saw that 3 times during the game. It doesn't show in the stats but is damn important in the outcome of a game.

Very happy with tonight's game, Parker didn't have the goods after the 1st quarter but he still drew defenders which helped open the game up.. kawhi starting to take more shots in the flow of the game which is good just needs to knock them down.. Great defense, Patty with that change of pace and good ball movement all around, and quietly Tim just does work.

Now if Daye could actually do that in the Ayres role that would be so great.. truly spreading the floor.

Yep, which is why it annoys me when some posters here compare him to Neal, tbh..

Neal was known for lackadaisical effort on defense(along with his lack of lateral speed) and loose balls, outside of taking charges around the basket..Mills provides constant energy and pressure in every facet of the game..

Both HOU & OKC are very very scary. Everyone else, if healthy, Spurs should beat. Those two I am not sure if they "should" beat them. They can, but really rough match ups.

I just don't see a healthy spurs losing to Houston. I know it's 3-0, Rox. But I would bet my money on Pop, Timmy, Tony KL over McHale (LOL), Dwight, Harden and Parsons tbh. Plus spurs have the better bench.

The difference was also that Neal was both the PG and the SG with the Spurs playing taller off the bench... The Mills-Beli-Manu lineup pretty much uses two players to replace one and they don't have a choice since Mills a worse passer than Neal and Beli can't play point at all... So the defense is actually worse than with just Neal and a true SF... The offense is much better tho but against a team like OKC it might not be a good compromise... Even a tosb SJax may be better to have against OKC than Beli...
