Harden/Howard are the best one-two punch since Shaq/Kobe. And I'm talking SG/C...inside/outside game. We'll see how well they do together over the years but they are getting stronger by the day.

:lol - yes, first Rockets game. Armed Forces Network doesn't play them too much out here. I'll have NBALP when I transfer back to the states this summer though.

It took a while to realize this... But beard is actually an average defender. He defends stronger guys really well but can't stay with smaller laterally quick guys. They have been playing t his strengths now.

Unlike other whimps, Beard nigga took his game to another level after the 2012 finals debacle.
He was easily the best SG last year. His efficiency was off last year, but he now has the talent around him to do some serious damage this post season.
The Rockets look scary right now. OKC & the Spurs better watch out. The Clippers match up well against the Rockets though.

WFGAS about pre-ach. Kobe? That is the past. The present and future for Kobe is essentially retirement. He had no lift on his jump shot and was easily blocked on his jump shot - it was rather sad. His quickness/1st step was gone. All he could do was pump fake, pivot and pass. He had one baseline dunk that he BARELY made it over the rim. Based on his age, mileage, and Achilles injury - I see nothing to indicate a return to anything other than scrub vet. status. He and Nash need to retire.
Harden is a beast. How good he will be is based on continuing to work on his d and being willing to share/move the ball. His offense will be there save for the occasional off nite

There ain't many strict SG in the league, to begin with. Most 6'4-6'6 niggas are swingers between SF and SG imho, most of them don't stick to the SG anymore. I can see that even Kobe who is God will play more as a SF next season (unless they can get Melo in the coming summer)

Love the way he plays. Its almost always a layup or a 3 pointer from him. Very efficient. His FG% isn't spectacular (45.8%) but its very respectable for a guy carrying the load the way he is. He's shooting well over 50% on his 2 point attempts, and gets to the line over 10 times a game, and not in BS Durant fashion. He attacks the rim more aggressively than Manu tbh. While he isn't an elite defender, he does come up with 2 steals per game which puts him top 6 in the league there. Also a very willing passer. Only knock on him would be turnovers, but on a team with a pace as fast as Houston, and considering its his first year truly putting a team on his back, its not exactly something you can knock him for.
His man to man defense, though not what it was before (he exerts way more energy on offense than he had to on a team with Westbrick and Durant), is still solid. I still have visions of him defending Kobe pretty darn well in last year's playoffs.
aside from that hysterical segment in bold, i think i was (and am) in agreement

I know a lot of people hate it, but if you can get the defender to fall for it or force the contact through it to get some extra points why not. Its also why he's able to get through the lane a lot easier, it scares people as they don't want to pick up a foul.
I don't think it's really a contest at this point.
