Suns have been overachieving all year. I'd hate to see them miss out, but think they're going to draw the short straw. All the more reason to just put the best 16 teams in and say screw the EC. I mean ATL, Bobacats, Nyets, and Bullets all going to the POs is bullshit.

Phoenix most likely to drop out, they're in a slump recently and when was the last time they made the playoffs?

Phoenix's chances are dependent upon how seamlessly they can reintegrate Bledsoe, who returns in a few days. The Suns were 16-8 with him in the lineup.

This has been one the craziest years, with so many good teams with really good records in the West.

Not sure who doesn't make it, but I hope Memphis get's in, as good as any at eliminating the ref darlings, Thunder.

But then again, OKC might get the 2 seed, so who knows.

Can you imagine if the Spurs were in the East? They may have 70+ wins, the East is pathetic.

Now just 2 games ahead of GSW.

Yep Mavs are done. Calderon may be the worst starting PG in the NBA

Rogue
03-11-2014, 11:41 PM
Calderon isn't that bad imho. Dude as the starting PG of our team is mostly responsible for our TO number which's the 4th lowest of the entire NBA, and he averages 2.4 three pointers per game on 0.447 (both figures being career high). Of course there're better PGs who earn 7m/yr or less (like Lowry) but I don't think Calderon is anywhere close to being the worst starting PG in NBA, tbh.

SpurSwag
03-12-2014, 01:15 AM
Felton is the worst starting point guard in the nba, for starters

And I think Phoenix misses out, which is really unfortunately because I really love what they've done so much. I love the Morris twins, Dragic, and especially Bledsoe. He was one of my favorite players since he came into the league and i was surprised to see how quickly he became a star. Green has been fantastic at times too this year. They really deserve the spot, but their schedule is crazy.

Nowitzki posted 27 points (11-14 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 4-5 FT) to go with nine rebounds and five assists in 34 minutes Friday against the Lakers.

Spin: Nowitzki has been on a tear of late, averaging 25.2 points, 9.4 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and 2.4 three-pointers made over the last five games. He's been giving everything he has to get the Mavericks locked into the Playoffs, and that certainly bodes well for owners.

Not enough noise has been made about Dirk and RC. Those two are getting good 3pt shooting and fewer turnovers with Calderon.
A 6th man candidate year from VC.
Solid defense from Marion.
Improved efficiency from Montae (whic is credit to RC)

Outside of that no way should this team sniff 50 wins in fact Cubes doesnt deserve it. But that boy Dirk has been balling.
And he freaking moved in to 10th all-time in scoring.
I will admit a little biased since i Live in Dallas now and see more of his games but the guy is nails.
2011 Dirk had the best shooting season i have ever seen and that includes Bird. Dont care what the numbers say that dude hardly missed a clutch hoop all season plus playoffs.

I know he is mediocre on defense but After duncan (if you consider duncan a PF) For my all time list I am taking Dirk over McHale, and he has a argument with chuck and Malone.
Before when asked I was taking KG over Dirk by a slight margin but if Dirk finishes his career strong I may take Dirk. He is finishing on offense better than KG is on defense to end their careers.

That's gonna suck because they are 15 games over .500 and yet will miss the playoffs. They would be 3rd in the East.

Making the playoffs and getting creamed on by SA/OKC wouldn't really be any different than missing them completely sans 2-3 playoff games of ticket revenue for Sarver.

& it would be nice to see your people slink into that Lottery room, after all is said & done.

Big shots. Big talker.

What kind of hater wants them in the lottery where they would have a slight chance of winning as opposed to the playoffs where they have a guaranteed chance of losing. g

I'm compelled. I couldn't talk sense into my head on this issue, so don't even try.

Then they should've been tanking all the way from beginning imho, no one expected the Sons to contend anyway.

Suns have been overachieving all year. I'd hate to see them miss out, but think they're going to draw the short straw. All the more reason to just put the best 16 teams in and say screw the EC. I mean ATL, Bobacats, Nyets, and Bullets all going to the POs is bullshit.
