I have source tell me that spurs is scouting Olympiacos game fnissh strong in euroleague basketball game

ATHENS (Euroleague (http://www.fiba.com/pages/eng/fc/news/lateNews/contLeag/euroLeag/p/openNodeIDs/1197/selNodeID/1197/teas.html)) - Olympiacos (http://fiba.com/pages/eng/fc/gamecent/p/tid/6001201/leagueid/EL/teamview.html) endured a difficult stretch recently which led some to believe the team's hopes for a third straight Turkish Airlines Euroleague (http://fiba.com/pages/eng/fc/gameCent/p/leagueid/EL/ot/1/leagueProfile.html) title were fading.
The Reds won all of their Euroleague Regular Season games, including one against Stelmet Zielona Gora (http://fiba.com/pages/eng/fc/gamecent/p/tid/6001115/leagueid/EL/teamview.html)at the buzzer after a three-ball from Vangelos Mantzaris (http://fiba.com/pages/eng/fc/gamecent/p/leagueid/EL/ot//pid/6035621/season/2014/tid/6001201/playerview.html).
But after starting the Top 16 with a decisive home triumph over Fenerbahce Ulker (http://fiba.com/pages/eng/fc/gamecent/p/tid/6002005/leagueid/EL/teamview.html), Olympiacos crashed to an 81-51 (http://fiba.com/pages/eng/fc/gamecent/p/gid/6/grid/E/rid/6001630/boxscore.html) setback at EA7 Emporio Armani Milan (http://fiba.com/pages/eng/fc/gameCent/p/leagueid/EL/leagueids//ot//season/2014/tid/6000005/teamView.html) and then lost 81-72 (http://fiba.com/pages/eng/fc/gamecent/p/gid/9/grid/E/rid/6001630/boxscore.html) at home to Barcelona (http://fiba.com/pages/eng/fc/gameCent/p/leagueid/EL/leagueids//ot//season/2014/tid/6000110/teamView.html).
The Greek giants have hit back with a vengeance.
Last week in Spain, they rolled to an 89-70 (http://fiba.com/pages/eng/fc/gamecent/p/gid/15/grid/E/rid/6001630/boxscore.html) at Laboral Kutxa Vitoria (http://fiba.com/pages/eng/fc/gameCent/p/leagueid/EL/leagueids//ot//season/2014/tid/6000116/teamView.html) and on Thursday night at home, the club cruised to a 73-55 (http://fiba.com/pages/eng/fc/gamecent/p/gid/17/grid/E/rid/6001630/boxscore.html) triumph over Unicaja Malaga (http://fiba.com/pages/eng/fc/gameCent/p/leagueid/EL/leagueids//ot//season/2014/tid/6000118/teamView.html).
If Real Madrid (http://fiba.com/pages/eng/fc/gamecent/p/tid/6000115/leagueid/EL/teamview.html) have worn the mantle as favorites for much of the season after winning 13 straight Euroleague games before falling last week at CSKA Moscow (http://fiba.com/pages/eng/fc/gamecent/p/tid/6001602/leagueid/EL/teamview.html), Olympiacos have the bit between the teeth now.
"We are walking on a better path than we were 20 days ago," Olympiacos coach Georgios Bartzokas said, "including the addition of (Mardy) Collins (http://fiba.com/pages/eng/fc/gamecent/p/leagueid/EL/ot//pid/6037039/season/2014/tid/6001201/playerview.html) and the return of(Brent) Petway (http://fiba.com/pages/eng/fc/gamecent/p/leagueid/EL/ot//pid/6041043/season/2014/tid/6001201/playerview.html) (from injury).
"We feel more optimistic right now, we are looking forward and not thinking of what happened before."
Real still have not lost in the Liga Endesa after 17 games but in Europe, they are having their credentials tested.
After losing 85-71 (http://fiba.com/pages/eng/fc/gamecent/p/gid/13/grid/F/rid/6001630/boxscore.html) at CSKA Moscow, they needed a strong performance and a sold-out crowd at the Palacio de Deportes in Madrid on Thursday to help them see off the challenge of Maccabi Tel Aviv (http://fiba.com/pages/eng/fc/gameCent/p/leagueid/EL/leagueids//ot//season/2014/tid/6001802/teamView.htmlhttp://fiba.com/pages/eng/fc/gameCent/p/leagueid/EL/leagueids//ot//season/2014/tid/6001802/teamView.html).
Real prevailed, 74-68 (http://fiba.com/pages/eng/fc/gamecent/p/gid/17/grid/F/rid/6001630/boxscore.html).
Which team has the look of favorites right now? Is it Real or Olympiacos?
A stronger, healthier roster is helping Olympiacos, as is its commitment to playing better defense.
"One of the main factors in beating Unicaja Malaga was that we forced them to shoot 30% on two-pointers and the way we played defense didn't allow them to play their game," Bartzokas said.
One of the lynchpins in the Olympiacos team, Greece (http://www.fiba.com/pages/eng/fe/14/wcm/team/p/sid/8722/tid/291/profile.html) international Georgios Printezis (http://fiba.com/pages/eng/fc/gamecent/p/leagueid/EL/ot//pid/6026772/season/2014/tid/6001201/playerview.html), says it's important for the players to keep their feet on the ground.
"It is too early to make predictions on the Quarter-Finals and the Final Four," he said.
"There are nine games to be played and anything can happen.
"There is no perfect team and despite the records, the most important thing is to win the crucial games."
Part of the game in the Euroleague is the one played in the head, and that is one of the strengths of Bartzokas.
He knows his players have to remain mentally sharp.
"The most important thing in sports is to stay healthy, not only in the bodies, but mentally as well," he said.
There is a long way to go for both teams, with others like Maccabi, Barcelona andPanathinaikos (http://fiba.com/pages/eng/fc/gamecent/p/tid/6001204/leagueid/EL/teamview.html) sure to have a say in matters.
There are plenty of national team players involved in the fray as well, many who will feature at the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup (http://fiba.com/spain2014).
It's all going to make for very interesting viewing the rest of the way.

On the upside, you are now part of an e-gang if that's something you aspired to.

Forgive us, but we've heard this all before. We've been told a big time Greek player is going to be signed by the Spurs from a team that has one particular player on it before.

Aside from the fact there are no big time players on that team, the signing never actually happens, and whatever Greek started the rumor is proved to be a filthy liar who melts down and leaves the board "forever."

Then he comes back using a different screen name and the cycle begins anew.
