HOUSTON -- James Harden (http://espn.go.com/nba/player/_/id/3992/james-harden) scored 41 points, Jeremy Lin (http://espn.go.com/nba/player/_/id/4299/jeremy-lin) had 26 and the Houston Rockets (http://espn.go.com/nba/team/_/name/hou/houston-rockets)rallied for a 118-113 overtime win against the Portland Trail Blazers (http://espn.go.com/nba/team/_/name/por/portland-trail-blazers) on Sunday night.

The Trail Blazers led by 3 in overtime after two free throws by Wesley Matthews (http://espn.go.com/nba/player/_/id/4032/wesley-matthews). Houston took over from there, using an 8-2 run with a 3 from Harden and four points from Lin to make it 116-113 with 35.4 seconds left. Lin added two free throws after that to help the Rockets secure their fifth straight win.

Harden hit a 3-pointer with seconds left in regulation to send it to overtime.
LaMarcus Aldridge (http://espn.go.com/nba/player/_/id/2983/lamarcus-aldridge) led the Trail Blazers with 28 points and 12 rebounds, but managed just two points in OT.
Dwight Howard (http://espn.go.com/nba/player/_/id/2384/dwight-howard) added 17 points with 12 rebounds and Chandler Parsons (http://espn.go.com/nba/player/_/id/6466/chandler-parsons) had 16 points for Houston.

Thats what they are, they were never real contenders. I talked to an older head at work and he said lets see if they keep it up all year long and if they can do a thing in the playoffs, turns out he might be right. The thing is many fans should realize is the IT IS STILL EARLY FACT! No need to bust a nut over half a season, never.

I MEANT at the point when THONG was overreacting in here crowning his team as a contender when they were not even halfway through the year and Portland was a higher seed.
