In for pound.

I would also get the money, but the salary cap situation is the issue. Why play that 10th game?

The Lakers knew the risks, now they gotta pay the price for the gambit not working.I hope Nash gets every penny out of that contract.
Heck, the Lakers can't be too disappointed, since they're erecting an statue of Nash outside of Staples. Here's an early artist's concept:

I don't see what's funny tbh. Who in their right mind is going to turn down $19 million to be third base?

While i believe some would, certainly not all.

Who here wouldn't take the $19 million he's due? He's not Warren Buffet. A $19 million contract is still a ton of money after taxes.

Steve is an incredible actor and I am being serious. He was also being damn honest which is a good thing and LA made their bed with that trade and contract knowing full well Steve's medical history. Steve should be under no obligation, especially to a franchise like LA, to retire to just save them money.

My question is though, I thought if someone was medically forced to retire, they still got their money. If that's the case, why play that 10th game? Is it because he knows he can still get another contract after this one?

Because he likes to be on the floor, and travel with the team to get strange in each city?

It cracks me up how people act surprised that Nash is all about the money now since he always has been.

Well, it's not just Nash. It's every athlete for the most part. Very few truly aren't about the money and most totally are. Even the greats that give up some money to help (Duncan, Lebron, Wade, Dirk) still get paid damn well. Again, why on Earth would someone retire and give up that money. Worst case, if LA cared about saving money, they could buy him out and save a little. But they don't, so he doesn't either. They can trade him, buy him out/cut him.

What ever happened to the video of the 2006 and 2007 playoffs with the Dark Knight stuff in the background? It had Stern with devil horns and "Miami Heat 2006 champions" in the background, clips of the Warriors taking out the Mavs in 2007, and others.

Nash made the worst financial decision any athlete can make:

DIVORCE.

There was no fucking way he was going to retire after getting a divorce in a community property state.

Steve Nash - villain for not retiring after being injured.

Kobe - worshiped even though he's played 6 games while being paid 30 mil.

Kobe is praised for working so hard to come back for injuries yet Nash is hated on. Double standard much.

Woman, if you want to play this injury card you'll do it by yourself. I ain't doin' it.

It's my religion.

P.S., you got a nice ass, 8th grade, or, AARP member.

You pen the injury card on Nash, I simply pointed out the error. You can designate the shitbag all you want, but when you step on toes when designating pussies & assholes I'll make you feel like it's Spurs vs Suns in the WCF again.

This is so on the money. He will get another contract after this one. He'll get paid something to be a back up or 3rd pg on a team after this contract is over.
