Impressive win streaks by both teams. Blake Griffin showing he's not just a high-flyer. Doc's got them playing better defense. The Spurs just doing what the Spurs do this time of year. So whose streak ends first and when? Here are the remaining games for both teams.
I actually think the Clips lose tonight at Denver.

Spurs; I suspect Pop punts the game against the Warriors on Saturday.

I would be shocked if our streak doesn't end tonight, the second night of a back-to-back in Denver's altitude is basically a schedule loss....

With the West so tight, I doubt if Pop punts any games yet, especially with the Spurs relatively healthy. As much as the Spurs coaches and players say "home court doesn't matter, we just want to be playing well going into the playoffs", I think they want it. They just don't say it, so there's no pressure to get it. Just look at Indiana, although they lead the East, they put a lot of pressure on themselves at the beginning of the year by telling everyone that they want/need the number one seed.

It would be lovely to see Pop playing a B team lineup against the Warriors again. (After winning the previous game when he trolled the Warriors by resting the big 3). And it would be even more fun if Patty & Marco go ham again.

If LAC can get past Denver tonight, then I think we'll lose ours first @Golden State. With that game being on the road and the 2nd night of a b2b, I could very well see us dropping it even if Pop plays the full squad. Not to mention Golden State is a lot better than their record indicates.

No doubt. Back to back on the west coast this late in the season Pop definitely punts. It interesting it always seems like GS is the team we write off a game to...

If the Clippers win tonight, then it's hard to say. I don't see Pop necessarily punting that GSW game...it's the Kings the night before, so the starters may well get some good rest that game.

He tried to do that last time in Oakland. We won anyway.

This place will be fun on April 3rd when the Spurs play in OKC. The Spurs will be on the second game of a B2B. 3rd game in 4 nights. Sixth straight game with travel between games. Meanwhile, OKC will have been at home for more than a week with three full days of rest. All of that, and the game is on TNT.

Pop's not gonna play the Big 3 on that uneven playing field and the ensuing ST meltdown will be something to see.

In fairness, a lot of those were against West playoff teams during a brutal stretch of the schedule, tbh....

I'm gonna say the Clippers lose tonight, but if they don't the spurs streak will end first. I feel like GSW is gonna get us.

Yea I don't doubt that. Seems when we have b2b's it's also against some of the better WCF teams. Schedule makers need to get their stuff together

We have the best record in the NBA, we are the hottest team in the NBA, and at the moment we don't have any real injuries. Something bad is bound to happen

Honestly I think we'll drop one or two games that we're "supposed" to win against sub-.500 teams, although it won't mean much. I'm going to guess our first loss will come sacramento on March 21.

I don't think it means much the Clips lost. Denver isn't a playoff team in the west but they're better than half the teams making the east playoffs imo. There's no shame in losing to the Nuggest @ Denver when you're on a b2b. They're a pretty decent team just like the Wolves, Suns, and Grizzlies. Any of them can beat you if you aren't on your game.

Props to the Clippers for the big run. Imo they've been just as impressive as the Spurs lately. They took the 3rd seed and are only 2 games out of 2nd. If they actually get the 2 seed, the second round matchup between OKC and LAC will get a lot more interesting than it already is. LAC has the best home record in the west and 2nd best in NBA behind the Pacers who get to pad that against the shitty east.

Nice run by the Clips, but the Spurs are incredible. Outside of winning 50+ games per season record, I don't have a number, but I believe the Spurs have the most 10+ game win streaks in the history of the NBA.

Negative.

That record belongs to the Boston Celtics, with 30 separate 10+ game winning streaks.

The Los Angeles Lakers are 2nd with 24 separate 10+ game winning streaks, 28 if you count the Minneapolis Lakers streaks (which we shouldn't).

The San Antonio Spurs are currently comfortably in 3rd with 20 separate 10+ game winning streaks.

Considering that some of the Celtics and Lakers streaks go back as far as '57 and '63 ('49 if you count Minny), nearly two decades before the Spurs even came over from the ABA...I'd say they've still done pretty well for themselves.

Sad, but this.

If TD goes down, in some useless regular season game, it's all over.
