View Full Version : Lakers: Kobe Bryant is the Most Overrated Superstar of All-Time

Kirby has been over-rated for the greater part of his career. When most people talk about him, they talk about his scoring titles and his 5 championship rings, along with his reputation as a fierce competitor. What they fail to talk about are his glaring weaknesses in his resume. In his first 3 championship runs, Kobe played second fiddle to center Shaquille O’Neal, as evidenced by Daddy winning all of the Finals’ MVPs of those years. As well as winning the Finals’ MVPs, he led the team in scoring in every game but 2 games throughout 3 years worth of finals games.

Wait...so scoring determines if he was second fiddle or not?

Kobe led the Lakers in scoring 18/35 games and 4/8 series in the 01 and 02 playoffs.

I should also mention that his 05-06 average of 35.4 ppg was the 8th highest ever and the highest since 86-87 MJ. Probably wont be surpassed for a while, only see Durant being capable of doing it any time soon.

Who Are The Bitchiest, Most Defensive Fans In America?

Sports: The "Best Fans In Baseball!" Regional

1. Soccer fans

American soccer fans believe that soccer ought to be the most popular sport in America, but is not because of stubborn, jingoistic assholes like you, who refuse to give soccer a chance. You probably complain about soccer without ever watching it, and therefore nothing you say holds any weight. Do you hate low scoring, dives, crypto-fascist fans, and/or grotesque oligarchs? Well, clearly you're just some mouth-breathing rube who has to be babysat at all times by made baskets and cheap touchdown passes. And if you say one more thing about how you don't like the offsides rule, you can go to hell.

(juggles Adidas ball between knees)

(makes unintelligible rallying cry for some asshole EPL team)

11. Kobe Bryant fans

Currently the NBA's best player. RIGHT NOW. AT THIS MOMENT. Even when he's unable to play. Say the word "Colorado." Go on. I fucking dare you.

Thank you for voting!

St. Louis Cardinals fans 51.05% (10,236 votes)

Kobe Bryant fans 48.95% (9,813 votes)

Centers dont win MVP though? Kareem 6, Russell 5, Wilt 4, Moses 3 lol ok

What's different with the MVP award nowadays is the team record factor and who votes for the award. Players used to vote for the award, now the media does. Kareem won an MVP with a team record of 40-42. Kobe's team win 45 games in 06 but they give it to Nash since his team won 54.
