Poor kid cant seem to shake back troubles. I don't remember Oden getting injured in college but we all know his problems in the pro's. It's gonna take a giant leap of faith for any G.M. to take Embiid with a top 5 pick if he doesn't play at all in the tourney....heading into the draft.

It's like Okafur's college injury, I believe, which would differentiate him from Oden. He was misdiagnosed and continued to play with it until it got worse, so I would not say it is a red flag injury. Although, he might have back injuries throughout his career or be healthy, he is somewhat of a risk.

However, he is the best prospect in the draft.

Yep....That's the risk. NBA is a grueling 82 game season and bigger guys in the paint laying into his back. You're right...the kid is the best prospect but if I'm a G.M. and want a paint player...I would probably take Randle right now.
