Dirk Nowitzki had 32 points, 10 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals in a win over the Thunder with Westbrook in the lineup.

Still a Top 15 player in the league tbh. You could argue for Top 10 with him and Duncan for how they show up in big games.

Servant dropping 41pts in Dallas yet his team still losing :lol

I really wonder what Dirk could do if he wasn't a 1st option. Could he still put up good numbers in a reduced role? I guess we'll see in a few years

Meh, they still need to trade him for Anthony Randolph :downspin:

Oh shit, a HOF player with a PER of 24 and shooting near 50/40/90 for the season could still produce as a 2nd/3rd option? Who the fuck would have thought!

The Mavs ain't going nowhere with that squad. RC Might as well trade for him as we'll need the big Diggler to counter Enrique.

Umm he's not producing anything as a 2nd/3rd option right now since he isn't one. You'd think he'd still put up good numbers in a reduced role, but I'm just wondering if he can handle not being the first option since he's done it for so damn long. Not everyone is Duncan.

Nah ah, you can have Piano till he exhausts his 48.5 tbh. We're stealing the Diggler from pubes tbh.

Davis is already a top 5 player in my book. That dude is going to absolutely beast next year.

He's easily top 3 tbh.

I'm not ready to put him at Top 3 just yet tbh. I know it's not his fault but his team is trash; he needs to take them somewhere to get that distinction, otherwise he's just Kevin Love 2.0.

Clutch game by Dirk, but then again, the sun shines on a dog's ass every now and then. Its sad that his team has to be fighting to make the playoffs though.

Okc doesn't match up with the Mavs particularly well. Okc would probably still win, but it's gonna be a tough 6 or even 7 game series.

Coaching between the two teams is the main difference maker.

OKC had like a 10 game win streak vs the Mavs before the last 2 times the teams met
they match up extremely well

Mavs with no rim protectors or athletes
have to get fluke 3 point shooting and potato decision making from Russel Westbrook to beat them

Dirk had 4-5 of those incredible shots only he can make.
Even with the refs help...it was not enough.

I can honestly see Mavs upsetting the thunder in playoffs if they met.

Of course he could. He's unselfish just like Duncan is. Not saying Dirk's prime was as good as Duncan's prime, but they are wired the same way to care more about team success than their numbers.

Nice to see Nowitzki back to his old self with black hole Kaman off his roster.

It's really funny how matchups are. The spurs match up the heat well, are way better than the mavs, yet match up horribly with the thunder. Thunder dominate the spurs yet they struggle with the mavs and get owned by the heat.

It's not the coach's fault imho. Brooks is a decent coach and he has nothing to do with the poor basketball IQ of their Alpha guy, or the servant instinct of their beta who should be the Alpha to lead this team. Methunder just struggle against teams who make the least mistakes imho. Therefore, while they may cruise through Monkeyball or Lockets, they'd always expect hard battles against the likes of Mavs, Spurs and Memphis.
