View Full Version : Pacers: After all that...

D-Wade

Our guys just pulled ahead of Indy for the East's top spot.

:lolA breakout year for the Pacers
:lolPaul George taking the leap from all-star to superstar... shit even MVP candidate in the league of Bron and KD
:lolMIP Stephenson developing a 3 point shot, running the 2nd unit and keeping his trantrums to a minimum
:lolIncredible depth w/ Turner, Bynum & Scola

If the Heat hold court, I think this is too big of a blow for the Pacers.

True & the Heat need to get their shit together if they want to beat the Spurs again. But this was supposed to by Indy's year. It's tough to see them winning w/o HCA though. I also prefer the 1-8 bracket cuz we'll face Chicago or Brooklyn in rd 2 and be challenged.

trying to make it look like there is actually competition in the east, when in reality everyman and his dog knows its just 1-2 teams out there padding wins

They could still beat Miami, fwiw. Ever heard of those teams that matches particularly well against one team and then completely drops the ball against a lesser one?

But with chemistry issues rising, it does not bode well for the Pacers.

I see the Heat getting challenged by Brooklyn now more than the Pacers. I still think the champs are going to get out of the East though.

The psychopath Stephenson is crapping in the stew. Got those Pacer boys reeling, pointing fingers, and Hibbert bearing his soul to guys with pocket protectors and scratch pads. Dude is definitely the most emo 7-footer in world history.

So true. Vogel looks lost. If they fall to Miami again, Indy will be the primo job. Look for Jeff Van Gundy to jump on that. Or maybe Adelman - he'd get that offense going. Or maybe even Steve Kerr, who is the guy rumored to be Phil's choice to coach the Knicks. But Indy is stacked compared to the Knicks.

Clearly Vogel is blowing it, because the Pacers are way worse now than they were the first month of the season. And it appears that it's because he can't keep his guys together. Not good, Frank. It just kind of smells like inexperience and lack of discipline.

Not sure the seeding really matters. IMO the Pacers aren't capable of beating Miami even with home-court. They just don't have the firepower.

This. and I agree on vogel vastly overrated by harlem and others and seems to have lost control of this squad. With Tibbs, RC, Doc or Prop at the wheel I doubt they win it all but they dont implode either.

The east is awful so I expect the Pacers to still get to the ECF easily. They match up real well with the Heat much like how the Mavs used to match up real well with the Spurs during the Dirk-Terry era. They will pick up momentum once they get out of the 2 rounds prior to the ECF and then stomp on Miami.

Pacers are weird as hell. To start the season they were performing well over their heads, and now Indy's level of play is so low that they're basically sucking their own dick.

There's no middle-ground with this team.
