What do you think about this statement: "I'll take '11 playoffs Dirk over any version of Duncan."

2003 Duncan shits on any player since Shaq 2002 tbh. Not only do the mavs win more than 1 championship, they'd also not have to depend on Big Daddy Tyson.

You said it. 03 Duncan could caca all over Dirk anytime. And while 02 Shaq was great, Lakersref was in full effect. Kings were robbed, and that is not debatable.

Put it this way: replace Duncan with Nowitzki in the final minute of game 7 last year, do you guys end up with 5? I think so. I doubt Nowitzki would miss a fuckin' layup over Battier.

They would both have two, maybe three rings.

The difference would be the Mavs front office and the Spurs front office.

Did you forget about a certain play during the midst of the previous decade? The one that cost you 5-5 and a threepeat?

no other team outside of the Heat has won the championship since then, spurs could've made a difference last year and they were very close to making it, but we all know what the hell happened in the last 28 seconds of game 6.

He made a layup over an outstretched Ginobili in a Game 7. What makes you think that Dirk Diggler's gonna blow a wide-open layup in a Game 7?

nothing... comparaison is dumb... 90% of the big of the league would have made dat lay up... just a hand of bigs in the league could have the Duncan POs run last year... none could have done that at 38 y/o

dude talking shit about Duncan for last year PO or for a missed lay up worth less than a bag of shit

last yeat POs just reinforced Duncan legacy... at the end of the day as much as I like Dirk, Duncan shit on him at his peak and carreer wise twice a day 7 days a week

If we're talking about switching them for their entire careers, then the combination of Duncan as a foundational piece and Cuban's money in the pre-2011 CBA NBA would have been pretty awesome. Cuban spared no expense trying to surround Dirk with the right group of players to win a title. Say whatever you want about the relative greatness of the two players, Duncan was the easier player to build around.

These threads are so predictable and boring, tbh. It usually starts off as a decent conversation, but then the trolls come in and start jacking each other off or continue parroting the same broken lines. Yawn. Back in my day, trolling meant something. I feel like you guys are just going through the motions. I get it, most of the trolls' teams are complete shit(or don't even exist anymore lol sonics) and have been for a few years so they don't have anything good to talk about it, but they should at least put more effort into trolling Spursfan.

Is there anybody in the world who would allege that beyond Mark Cuban? Duncan put up a quad-dub in the finals vs. Mutombo / prime KMart. He carried the fourth quarter game 7 of the 2005 series against the Pistons. Dethroned the threepeat lakers. Shut down the forum.

Dirk's had some good playoff runs, but only 1 legendary run. Duncan's had 3-4.

Duncan would have won somewhere around 4-5 titles with the Mavs. Cuban with his unlimited spending and payroll pre-2011 would surround Duncan with tons of talent.

No. Cuban was too busy conspiring door-to-door his entire NBA life against the Lakers to attend his rank & file. That he won one is a testament to the human spirit. That he refused to defend it is borderline criminal.

Us without Bryant, the Warriors and the Grizzlies. That's a tough ass road to the finals, blanket head.

Duncan would've had to deal with Nash getting shit on by Bibby, Jet getting shit on by Nash, Smokey having a mental crisis in the middle of a playoff series, Avery starting Dickbreath at C, etc. lol spurfans acting like Cuban's deep pockets would've somehow made the players that money paid for something they weren't. Parker & Manure >>>>>> JET & one year of Big Daddy Tyson. Hell Duncan's gay introverted ass might have even bolted the big city of Dallas to go somewhere smaller so he could play his basement card games in peace like Orlando :lol
