Anybody know if pop left any starters in sa. My feeling pop is gonna give the nba the finger cuz of the schedule. Okc had 3 days off and spurs played or playing 5 games in 7 days

According to Boylen on the postgame everyone was at least getting on the plane and they'd make their decisions then.

Everyone boards the plane. When it touches down at Will Rogers, Pop randomly selects 6 players and an assistant coach to disembark, then tells the pilot to turn the plane back around and head for SA.

Jeff Ayres, Corey Joseph, Patty Mills, Matt Bonner (DGAF if he's "injured"), Boris Diaw, and Marco Belinelli take the court in OKC, with Ime Udoka filling in as coach.

Spurs still whip the thunder 113-82.

That's probably tongue in cheek, but...

Part of the deal when they stole, errrr moved, the franchise was that the Supersonic name and history remained in Seattle. While the Lakers honor the Minneapolis championships in the rafters in LA, there is no championship banner hanging in OKC.

"According to the conditions of the settlement, the Sonics' name and colors could not be used by the team in Oklahoma City, but could be taken by a future team in Seattle, although no promises for a replacement team were given. The OKC team would retain the franchise history of the SuperSonics, which could be "shared" with any future NBA team in Seattle. The team moved to Oklahoma City immediately and announced it would begin play in the 2008–09 season."

So, technically, they stole the team and its history. :lol

Boylen said everyone got on the plane...which means, when Kawhi tried to board it, Boylen told him only Spurs players are allowed to enter and kept him off it. So we'll roll without Kawhi at least, tbh.

Is it fair for the nba to give okc 3 days off

How do you "share" NBA history? A title can only belong to one team.

Bad joke referencing a game early this season when boylen was filling in for an ejected pop. Kahwi sat out most of the second half because boy lean forgot he was there. According to post game interviews.

So is the Seattle Supersonic championship banner hanging from the rafters in OKC? I think not. I think OKC got the players and equipment, but not the team.
