Lemme preface this by saying that I don't mean this to sound as ST is a factor in your life--just merely what's transpired in your life since you've joined. Better? Worse? The same?...for instance, I joined during the Spurs-Lakers WCF in 2008:

I'll break it down into 3 categories (health, wealth, and love)...

Since mid-2008...

Health: Trending up...I take care of myself diet-wise and although I don't hit the weights like I used to I run a lot and have much more energy and stamina. I drink maybe once a week (sixer on poker night), and don't smoke cigs or anything else.

Wealth: Trending way up...Working like a motherfucker and traveling out the ass, but I hope to retire by 45 and have seen/accomplished all my life goals by then.

Love: Hard to say, since the beginning of my ST days I had one engagement and another close call 18 months later. Since then this has been a downward trend, from a traditional perspective. Shorter relationships, emotional vacancy, and detachment. Part of that is my career, and part of it was my turning-30 crisis I had (legitimately felt quasi-panicked for several months) where I wanted nothing but immediate gratification (escorts and other debauchery, well-documented on here). This part of the triangle will eventually settle down.

Love: I've had a kid, got married, divorced, and moved in with a gf since.

Work: Was working at the Alamo Drafthouse initially, got a much better job that eventually turned into working from home.

Health: I have lost 50 pounds in the last 4 years, which is good. Ride my bike anywhere from 400-600 miles/month.

Wealth: With the divorce and kid, I pay child support, but I'm almost out of debt and doing fine.

Health: Always been pretty good--gained about 10lbs in the last year but lost it the last two months. I have torn a ligament in my thumb and knee due to basketball at the L.A. Fitness gym. I have begun riding a bike around 200-300 feet per month. I have cut back on drinking quit smoking years ago. Cocaine habit is non-existent and popping mollies isn't my type of deal.



Work: Same placement as I had when I first joined here. I'm looking for new opportunities as I have maxed out the earning potential in this job. However, the benefits are top-notch and impossible to come by these days. They're like bennies you'd get back in the 80's and whatnot. Well, I'm not entirely certain but something like that.


Wealth: I've saved enough that I would be able to be jobless for a few years if need be. I have had a bench warrant for an unknown/unpaid for parking ticket. But other than that, no time spent in the local jails. I am through the first 3rd of a 30-year loan so you know how it goes. Car paid off just a little credit card debt but nothing that isn't easily cleared if I chose to do so.



Love: The duration of my relationships up to this point varied. The longest duration is my current relationship: 6 months. I have seem to broken the typical 4-month span of relational length. I'm not sure what it is and I think it is because I tend to date too many nurses or those in the medical field. They seem to be either batshit crazy or think they're better than the rest of us. Also, I think I've been too laidback with many and they've been rather high strung individuals. Not that I'm a doormat, never that bruh. I just don't believe at my age that bickering or fighting is more advantageous than f$#king you or making you laugh. Corny shit like that seems lame--but it is necessary to keep the trajectory of the journey worthwhile and without strife.

Health - Pretty much the same when I was lurking in 2007-2008 and finally joined in 2009, just older. I'm not the most straight-edge person out there but I keep track of my worst health habits and try to limit and balance... and absolutely no smoking of anything.

Wealth - Have a stable job that pays all the bills, wants and has helped me build a more than decent savings figure, plus I'm getting it right with my stock investments. Avoiding Apple like a plague tho.

Health: Very well. Started the fitness habit a few years ago (running, kettlebell) that has truly paid off; I probably drink/smoke more than I ever have, but I try to eat healthy and with the exercise I've easily kept my weight within normal parameters for my height and age.

Health: have never really had problems in this department. I'm young and I've been one of those really lucky people with a crazy metabolism. I can eat like shit and not work out and not put on a pound. Although I have been taking better care of myself as far as intake and while I'm not a gym rat I exercise often, usually playing ball.

Work: well I'm a student , will be wrapping up undergrad in a couple of months, starting law school in the fall (not sure where yet, still pending responses from a couple of schools). Best way to go about it...I know I missed out on some great relationships but it would've been unfair for them to have to worry about me. I ran with a pretty big promotion crew and we had events 3-5 times a week and so, I'd be out and about with tons of coeds that would be wearing less clothes than skin. It was a pretty fun time but I think if I were to give advice for students its either stay solo the whole time or wait until your jr/sr year before investing time with someone.

And a lot of these jobs we are sacrificing our health, time, etc just to make good shekels and provide for the family

but once we get that good job, provide for our family we have fuck ups like
