Since then, the NBA has expanded with extensively shitty management running teams like Toronto, Grizzlies (although 8 shows they are turning the corner :lol), or the Hornets (Pelicans**). Hell, the Heat didn't win shit their first 18 years (or so) of existence. It took a Laker to come over and turn their organization around. But, there has been an uptick in shitty management throughout most of the league fiscally running NBA teams into the ground. exactly. Spurs consistently made the playoffs in the old system, which was heavily favored for big markets. Imagine what they can do in a climate that is more about parity.

The Logo is long gone, but his successor is just as respected as he was so I'm sure that some up and comer (who has outplayed their contract and their organizations are too inept to keep them - see Bin Harden for example) or some disgruntled superstar will want out of some small market because they can't win (*cough* KD *cough*). Whoever he is, whenever he is ready to leave, MK will be waiting for him at LAX with a few of LA's finest hookers to ease the transition for him. :lol

The Lakers have proven that they are smart enough to work within the new CBA as demonstrated during their CP0 trade that got vetoed by LDS owners. So yes, they do comb through every page with a fine toothed comb. They know what they are doing.
