Good one.

I see you changed your name as well, probably out of shame; again, good one.

My pics: (feel free to copy/paste)

Chris Weidman (http://mmajunkie.com/fighters/chris-weidman) vs. Lyoto Machida (http://mmajunkie.com/fighters/lyoto-machida) -- Machida is one of the very few Brazilians that I can tolerate; hate to pick against him, but Weidman isn't losing any time soon.
Ronda Rousey (http://mmajunkie.com/fighters/ronda-rousey) vs. Alexis Davis (http://mmajunkie.com/fighters/alexis-davis) -- I can't even really call this an upset, tbh. Rousey has shown that she has pathetic striking defense, and Davis is a damn good striker. Good night, ****.
Roidfort (http://mmajunkie.com/fighters/wanderlei-silva)vs. Chael Sonnen (http://mmajunkie.com/fighters/chael-sonnen) -- Off of TRT, Vitor is toast. He'll have a huge first round that Chael will have to survive, but then he's fucked. I smell another choke submission my Chael; arm triangle, I think.
Alex Caceres (http://mmajunkie.com/fighters/alex-caceres) vs. Urijah Faber (http://mmajunkie.com/fighters/urijah-faber) -- There is a HUGE part of me that wants to pick Caceres; I should probably pick this as a DRAW. In fact, that's what I'm doing. DRAW. (I should get +20 bonus points for getting this right)
Matt Mitrione (http://mmajunkie.com/fighters/matt-mitrione) vs. Stefan Struve (http://mmajunkie.com/fighters/stefan-struve) -- Meathead will be out of shape and slow. Again.
Uriah Hall (http://mmajunkie.com/fighters/uriah-hall) vs. Thiago "Marreta" Santos (http://mmajunkie.com/fighters/thiago-santos-marreta) -- Probably my worst pick, but Santos isn't good.

Chris Weidman vs. Lyoto Machida for middleweight title

I have gone back and forth on this one for about a week.. I kind of feel like if I don't pick Weidman I am underestimating him but at the same time Machida looks great at MW and has the skill set to give Weidman a lot of problems. Machida if only for 1 round have Jones a lot of problems on the feet with his countering and being elusive. Weidman has power and is a good striker but Jones he is not on the feet. An X factor for me is that Machida is 36 and this may be his last chance to win another title in the UFC and make history by doing it in 2 different weight classes.. I expect this fight to be a war I will be very disappointed if it's not. I am looking for Machida to do just enough on the feet and in the scrambles to earn a very hard fought 5 round UD or SD..

Ronda Rousey vs. Alexis Davis for women's bantamweight title

I think Alexis is game but Ronda's grappling is just too good.. Probably another 1st round arm bar..

Matt Mitrione vs. Stefan Struve

Uriah Hall vs. Thiago "Marreta" Santos

Urijah Faber vs. Alex Caceres

txstr1986

Chris Weidman vs. Lyoto Machida for middleweight title - I know that Machida is always a matchup nightmare, but I don't think that he will be able to handle the pressure that Weidman can put on him.

Ronda Rousey vs. Alexis Davis for women's bantamweight title - here we go again...

Matt Mitrione vs. Stefan Struve - tough fight to pick, but Mitrione is a d-bag and Struve is a gamer

Uriah Hall vs. Thiago "Marreta" Santos - I want Hall to be good so bad. He's a ton of fun to watch when his head is in the game. However, if he keeps doing his half-assed shit I hope he gets his ass beat so bad that he leaves the UFC.

Alex Caceres vs. Urijah Faber - Caceres is good, but he's no ALPHA MALE. Also, why the F is this fight on the undercard?

My picks exactly.

Weidman is the most underestimated athlete in the UFC right now. Even if he beats Machida it will be because Lyoto was passive and didn't fight his fight (nevermind that it's Weidman that can take any fighter out of their game). There hasn't even been a fight that has made him sweat yet, and that includes some cards against really good fighters even disregarding Silva. Machida is a really tough matchup for anyone but Weidman is among the most complete fighters in the game right now. His reactions and timings are literally off the charts. I just don't see Machida being able to mount effective offense against his pressure.

Rousey just gonna smash.

Hall is gonna start off really strong, get cocky, and then wake up staring at the lights.

Faber will decimate Caceres, that has to be a massive mismatch.

Yeah, no way he's as good as Silva! Especially after completely dominating Silva twice then making Machida look like an ordinary fighter for 4 out of 5 rounds. :lol

Wiedman is good, and maybe he won't lose that soon, but I have no reason to believe he'll ever be as good as Jones or Silva like some say he will be. Machida is past his prime, and with the exception of the 3rd round, he did not look dominate at all. Machida won the 4th round, and the 5th round was close, but at that point Weidman went conservative to waste time and win by decision. He's good, but I keep hearing people talk about how he's going to be as good as Jones and Silva, not gonna happen. He just got really lucky twice and beat a fighter past his prime.

Great fight 2 warriors going at it that is what MMA is all about..

Weidman looked gassed out and done after round 4 but dug deep and showed why he will likely be champ for some time to come in the 5th..

I feel awful for Struve and his career may now be over..

Ronda is incredible.. She really is..

Luck is pulling a miracle triangle on your opponent in the 5th round after you've been completely dominated.

Anyways, he's already destroyed Silva twice and now he utterly overwhelmed his bff Machida. I wonder who's next? Another brazilian for him to tear through?

:lol :lol :lol

Weidman's entire game isn't about fighting his fight, it's about disrupting the hell out of what you want to do. He destroyed Silva twice and in both fights had Silva in serious trouble before "he got lucky". Weidman is above average at everything, and excellent at some things (defense, timing/reactions, pressure, wrestling). Machida was seriously one of the only fighters that has a chance to beat him because he's one of the best counter-oriented styles in the game. It didn't even matter, Weidman walked through him. That was NOT a close fight last night.

Weidman has never even really been in trouble in 11 fights. He's beaten Uriah Hall (in 3 minutes no less), destroyed Damian Maia, tore apart Munoz like no one has EVER done, annihilated the Spider twice, and then last night completely outclassed a dangerous Machida that was supposed to be a wrecking ball in that weight division.

If/when he fights Belfort, it's going to end really badly, probably early for Vitor. He's going to come in swinging, and find himself on his back with a hail of elbows in his face. The only way you're going to beat Weidman for the next 3-5 years is through a single well-timed shot or by being an absolute beast at everything in the cage. The new blood is here, and if you're not well-rounded at everything you don't stand a chance. The days of one-weapon fighters like Liddell and Hughes are over.
