Does anyone have a lcd monitor? I am in the market for one but just don't know what kind to buy. I have been looking at samsungs, Sams has a 17" samsung for $259.
Any help would be appreciated.

That's probably your best bet right there.

I have a 19" Sony LCD and I love it (although it was a bit more than $259).

I would grab the one from Sam's as soon as possible. You'll be happy with that.

I use one here and one at work, but I have no idea what the cost would be. Both came with a Dell system.

Don't buy one if you're really into games.

For games/video the reaction time must be below 20ms.

That's a good price. Personally, I don't like the 17" because the pixels are too small for my aging eyes. For gaming, you want a fast response time like Slomo said, but really you would be better off with a CRT.

I went and bought the damn thing, I must say , it's fucking awesome. They had another samsung for $248 so I bought that one. It has a 15ms refresh rate the one for 10bux more had a 8ms. I'm not a big gamer I just wanted a better picture and save some space.

It's nice to buy those from places like Sam's or Costco -- if there are too many dead pixels for your taste or something else is wrong, just take them back.

Sam's and Costco rule.

Love those places.

I've got the samsung 17" 712N. It's awesome for gaming. I love it, used money from a football pool I won last year.
