Here is what we know so far....
However, San Antonio police did confirm that the threat alluded to "mass violence being committed on or around" April 24. Police said the threat was made to a campus in the Northside Independent School District.
Today, SAPD issued this curious statement//
Within the past few days, area agencies became aware of a threat being made toward a San Antonio-area school. The threat was not specific to any particular school, but did allude to mass violence being committed on or around the 24th of April.

An email threatening the violence was sent last weekend to numerous Northside Independent School District officials at various elementary schools and its central office
The single-paragraph e-mail, composed with casual spelling and erratic punctuation, got right to the point. “You won't see day lights no more,” it began, according to a copy obtained by the Express-News. Its author, self-identified as the “San Antonio serial killer,” specified a mass shooting would occur between 9:45 a.m. and 10:50 a.m. Thursday.

“You will never know what School that is going to be! so it can be whatever!” the email stated. “That means some families will definitely miss their kids and never see them again.”
McManus said investigators had some idea who might have sent it based on previous threats, declining to elaborate except to say this one was different because it was targeting schools. Even if no shooting is planned, the email's author could be charged with making terroristic threats, he said.

A sampling of what people are saying from around the blogosphere...
My kids aren't going to school for the rest of the week. I don't give a damn if it's excused or not. I don't care if that's being overly protective or not. If rather have my kids for the rest of my life than take the chance. I don't have my CHL yet so I can't camp out in the parking lot to keep an eye on them. Screw the STAAR test, they can retake it on another day.

They owe it to the public to release the actual email. Why the secrecy? If they don't catch this punk, will they post armed security inside all of the schools?

Yet another reason to allow faculty and staff who meet the legal requirements to do so, to carry a concealed firearm on school grounds if they so choose.

I can see why the emailer is angry at the school system based on the bad grammar in the e-mail.

My son's school sent us a letter about this situation.

Several school officials questioned the timing of the threat, noting Thursday's scheduled testing and speculating that the sender of the email might be trying to extend Friday's school closures for the Battle of Flowers parade into a four-day weekend.
That's my bet.

is the SA threat a Copy cat?
JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - There is an additional police force at several area schools Monday after vague threats made.
Justin Rolland with the Craighead County Sheriff's Department tells Region 8 News the added security measures stem from threats made on social media by a juvenile. Rolland says the unnamed juvenile was arrested and charged with terroristic threatening. The person arrested was charged as a juvenile.
The arrested happened a month ago but rumors caused several school districts to take extra precaution.

"juvenile was arrested and charged with terroristic threatening."
how about arresting and charging any Bundy supporter that point guns at US govt officials as terrorists, threatening to kill in order to achieve political objectives.
Lots of OWS kids got arrested and charged and none of them were pointing guns at the police.
People have gotten arrested and/or roughed up just for pointing their cameras as police.
white supremaciats, sovereign assholes are "persecuted"? only in their paranoid fantasies.
