OKC is down 36-44 to Memphis at the half. LOL OKC 36 points in the half. We, along with OKC, don't seem to show a sense of urgency.

The Pacers are now down 2-1 to the Hawks who are the 8th seed. The lower seeds are putting up a good fight this year.

7 and 8 seed in the west would be a top 4 seed in the east. All the teams in the west playoffs are good. Heck even some of the non playoff teams are good.

The Heat haven't exactly been tearing it up against Charlotte, either.

The Heat are the only high seed who have their series under control and looking ahead to the next round. Lucky fucks. Still, I like underdogs, except when they're against us, of course.

I can say seeing the Thunder lose makes me feel better about the Spurs loss. We're gonna beat the Mavs, an I told my friends it will go 6gms. Faveing the Griz aint to bad.

Pretty sure the lower seeds from BOTH conferences have been competitive.

The reward for beating the Mavs is playing Portland. Tough conference.

It is not surprising that the Mavs are competitive against a a team full of chokers...

Actually the top 4 seeds in both conferences are finding the first round a real challenge. The Spurs have to get their shit together, and even more so for Indiana. The Heat and Clippers MAY have the easiest time making it to the second round thanks to injuries to Al Jefferson on the Cats and Bogut on the Warriors. The Bulls and Rockets are down 0-2 right off the bat. The Raptors/Nets series could be a toss up and now OKC is down 1-2. Haha! I guess the refs not helping OKC enough in this round.

Not only that, but every lower-seeded team in the first round has won a game except Charlotte (and even they were close in game 2). It's a great year for NBA playoffs.

Actually it's a lot worse than this for the top 4 seeds in each conference. Memphis is now leading 2-1 against OKC and Portland is leading 2-1 against Houston, which means both the teams that give the Spurs problems are in a tough position right now. So instead of looking at Houston-OKC in the next couple of rounds, we might be looking at Portland-Clippers, which suddenly looks a lot better. It's definitely not the year to be complacent in the 1st round...

Even Atlanta is giving Indiana a hard time out East. The only series which will surely belong to the higher seed is MIA v CHA

The easiest path to the finals is shaping up for the spurs. that is the only way they will make it because they are not beating Houston or OK City in a 7 game series.

It has nothing to do with conference. All eight series has been hard fought. The Eastern bracket is underrated.

How it has nothing to do with conference ? Western 8th seed is better team overall than 7 out 8 eastern playoffs teams. Even 10th western team is better than most of eastern playoffs teams.

That's not true. That's what these playoffs are showing. The teams at the bottom of the East are giving hell to the top teams in that conference. There's nothing to say the Wizards wouldn't be running roughshod over Houston or Portland right now. Toronto already has victories over OKC and LAC. The strength of the West and the disparity between the conferences is overstated.

Chinook

But anyways, I was referring to the idea that the 1/8 and 2/7 series in the West are good because of the conference's strength. That's not true. The East's 1/8 and 2/7 have also been really good.

Yeah but this is diffrent. In the west 7,8 are playing great, in east is more like Miami and Indiana are shitty teams these days.

Both the Spurs and OKC have lookef awful so far in the post-season outside of a couple spurts. In the East, Charlotte is just a bad match-up for Miami when Jefferson can go, and Atlanta is executing a game plan that requires a lot of luck.
