Texas guy, his body language is horrible at OKC, LeBron already showed that after you get rings people forget the whole chickening out to a good team thing
what are our chacnes?
He's going to D.C (Wizards) or Canada (Toronto) tbh. He won't join the current rendition of the Lakers (an idea being thrown around a lot).

Less than zero in any lifetime. Bringing him in anywhere requires an almost universal reconstruction of the system that's been in place for 15 years.

Don't really want him to be honest. Don't get me wrong, he's darn good, but he just doesn't seem like a Spurs guy.
I actually kind of feel like when the big 3 retires, it might do us some good to have a few season where we're not all that good. I guess you could call that tanking, but yeah.

I tend to agree, but I'm worried there isn't a good-to-great player out there that can be considered a 'Spurs guy'.
I think we'll have to look overseas to get the next solid core of players.

You can have Durbeta, we're still trading for LeBron though :downspin:

I'm most concerned about how we'll replace Timmy. I could see us trying to find more of a swing 3-4, since the game has somewhat evolved to play to these kinds of players' advantages.

Will there be any Miami fans if LeBron gets traded?
:lmao at anybody acting like they wouldn't be an instant Durant fan if he was on your team.

Durant is about as close to a Spurs guy as you can get with the superstars currently in the league.
Durant..Parker..Kawhi.. that could be a devastating combo

Don't think Parker will be all that good by that time.

LeBron seems like more of a "Spurs guy" than Durbeta, imho.... unselfish, versatile, and always talking up Duncan and Pop....

The real question on Durant is the ring.....Can he get a ring in OKC...He will have enough money
but the ring is the thing...What team is in the playoffs every year? Your chances for a ring
is with a team that is there every year...He could look at it that way or he could get tired
of babysitting Westbrook.....

I believe anything is possible as long as pop is the coach, or Spurs have a promising future.
I still believe he will go to wizards if the thunder don't win it all soon. Durant,Beal and Wall would be dirty.

To me I think it is more likely we land Lebron before Durant. The NBA's "smartest" player on the NBA's smartest team. A team that swept him one finals, took him 7 games in the 2nd and hopefully beat him in the finals again this year. He unlike most superstars isn't about stats or cash. He seemingly has admired the Spurs from afar and might like wrapping up his career with the evil empire.
We're gonna draft our next franchise player, just like we always have.

That is the most likely scenario but Lebron and maybe Durant are the only two superstars in the league that would appreciate what the Spurs have to offer and not just use them as a stalking horse to land a spot in a big market, or chase cash or chase stats. Actually being a winner seems to matter to both King James and the Slim Reaper and over the last two decades no one has done that better than the Spurs.

:lol a grown man with a tattoo that reads "Chosen 1" on his back is apparently the Spurs' best bet

Don't really want him to be honest.
Anyone who comes CLOSE to thinking along these lines is a damn idiot.
Kevin Durant is the most devastating offensive force since Michael Jordan (Yes, he is better than Lebron James/Kobe Bryant/Shaq offensively). Claiming you don't want him on your team is pure rubbish. Imagine Kawhi and Durant as your 3/4.... you would dominate the league.
The chances of us getting him are likely slim. Our roster at the time he becomes a free agent (summer 2016) would have to resemble something one piece away from being a dynasty for him to come to San Antonio. We aren't really set up to have that, but I wouldn't rule out anything with R.C. running the show.

Anthony Davis is the third best player in the league and will be signed to a max extension immediately following his rookie contract. Anthony Davis will never play for the Spurs.
Andre Drummond is likely viewed by Detroit as a max-contract guy. He's a little overrated, he's basically DeAndre Jordan with slightly more upside but he's only 20 or 21 (off the top of my head) and those type of guys get the max.

When the Big Two retire we will never be good again. Someone will move the franchise to Kansas City or some such...

Star players don't go to teams to rebuild them. He could just stay in OKC. No one but OKC can offer him the most
money. He would go some where for a chance of ring...He would waste 3 of 4 years in LA or New York.

He could go to Brooklyn, Chicago, DFW or Sanfo. These are also big markets with playoff teams. An injection of Durant in their roster would turn any of them into instant title contenders.

Am I seriously seeing people say they WOULDN'T want Durant on the team?
Look at this guy's stats. Closest shit to prime Jordan since Jordan. Yeah he's not as clutch but so what? Dude is godly and would look great without Westbrook holding him back.

You'd have to be a grade A retard to not want Durant on your team. I'm talking Manutard levels of retardedness.
