Spurs Website Playoff Video [Archive]

For a month or so the Spurs website had a compilation of pictures and video clips of the championship run featuring music by Switchfoot. It's a very awesome piece. I watched it at least once a week. However, it has disappeared and I can't get my weekly fix. Does anybody know the video that I'm referencing? If so, do you know if it still exists and/or where I can find it?

Funny thing is, I have been listening to that CD alot lately, and I have been thinking about how cool it would be to put a Spurs 2005 highlight film to that song. And someone actually did it. Cool.

I love the footage of the airport scene following Game 5, with several thousand fans welcoming the guys home at 4:00 in the morning, or whenever it was.

I have that Switchfoot CD, too.

Sure thing! I've really been digging this song now ever since I saw this video. Speaking of which, TNT did a montage after their Playoff games had ended that featured Foo Fighters "The Best of You," that was really good, and ABC did one during the closing credits of the Finals that I can't remember. Does anyone know which song was used on that one? I almost think it was the Switchfoot song also, but I don't have the original broadcast on my DVR anymore. Also, if anyone has the TNT or ABC montage online somewhere please send a link to it. Thanks!

That vid is Awesome. Dare You to Move is one of my all time fav. songs. Im glad they used that song. It fits this years Spurs very well.

I liked the little highlight video that was shown at the end of the Spurs celebration using Seal's "Waiting for you". I watched it on webcast and I've looked all over for that video but no one seems to have it online.

As I said earlier in the thread, I think that was the same song ABC used for the video highlight montage during the credits for the NBA Finals (after the trophy presentation and all that). My original DVR recording of the game got erased a couple days later and the DVD doesn't have it so I can't remember if that was indeed the case. If anyone knows what song they used or has the video please post. Thanks.

Yeah I understand that, but it still would be cool. And I had that idea with that exact song before I even knew about that video. :lol Too bad I have no idea how to do any of that stuff.

I finally remembered what song was played during the NBA Finals credits, also while showing various highlights from the series. It was "Collide" by Howie Day. Pretty cool song, especially when listened to in the context of what the Spurs went through this year and especially in the Finals. I really want to get a copy of the end credits so I can see it again.

It's a Windows Media file so make sure you have the latest Windows Media Player installed and then try again.

could have been longer though..of course we can't get enough of the Spurs.

That pic/video clip was sweet...the Spurs DVDs always have a way of making me feel better...it never fails. haha

Well as I said before, I do know how to do some of that stuff and I finally got around to doing it ;) I didn't use the same song though so don't get your hopes up lol. I like using songs that aren't too well known.

Thanks for the comments :) I've been wanting to do a video like that since the end of Game 7 lol. I always get inspired by the musical tributes they have at the end of the Finals when the credits are rolling and wanted to make something with a similar feel. Glad you guys liked it.

It's not silly the NBA shut down some fan sites for posting them last year. So it's not happening here.

We'll the fan site is entitled to its rules, but that's just NBA greed. The NBA can't "shut down" a site, but they can sue for copyright BS. :pctoss
