I was thinking of 2010 as well. The series seems to be headed in that pattern.

Except the Mavs didn't have a coaching advantage and came off a regular season sweep by the Warriors.

This would be a worse choke than '07.

I thought of making a similar thread before the playoffs, because the thought had occurred to me. I'm just too superstitious though.

I'll say this, Pop managed the minutes so well, I don't think Spurs were gunning for the no.1 spot like those 2007 Mavs. But still, it would be brutal and sad. :lol

On the bright side, it means the 2018 Spurs win the 'ship w/ Tiago having a GOAT playoff run tbh. :flag:

I remember Dirk having to collect that MVP after his team was already out. I always felt sorry for Dirk having to do that. But he handled it with class.

Yes but there isn't the same matchup nightmare as in that series. We're just playing like shit and they are playing great.

I wouldn't mind losing to the Mavs(in comparison to some other teams) if Blair wasn't on that team.
