According to Forbes, the Clippers are valued at $545 Million but would cost and estimated $700 Million to purchase. Considering Magic Johnson's business partner's, The Guggenheim Partners, are worth over $125 Billion and paid $2 Billion for the Dodgers 2 years ago, this shouldn't be an issue if they really do want to buy the team. Silver's just gotta force Sterling's hand, which shouldn't be hard if the fans and/or players boycott the team.

LA remains a basketball city and with the Clippers amassing great talent and seems to be the preferred choice for Free Agents, it's becoming L.A.'s favorite team. Clippers beats the Lakers for the past 2 years in home attendance, so that's proof enough they're fast becoming the "it" team in LA.
