Cuban is all talk, tbh.... he'll cry to the league for a month if the refs miss one call against his team in a loss, but when it comes to actually changing the league for the better, he's too chickenshit to take a stand, tbh....

Cuban is right. You wait for the outcry to fade, and you look at it for what it is. In reality a business owner made a comment that indicated he was a racist, but he did so in the privacy of his home (or where ever it was said, it was private). He was recorded and that recording sold (no doubt) to TMZ. Imagine someone records any of the players in their private lives talking and suddenly it's sold to TMZ. The player would lose sponsorship but there'd be no league penalty. Nate Robinson says the N word on television during a game and nothing is said or done about it. Paul Pierce throws a gang sign and he's still playing. RC Buford gets a DUI, could have killed someone, and he wasn't punished. If the league starts punishing people for what they say in the privacy of their homes, that's a problem. I can see the league protecting it's brand and telling the dude he has to sell, but it's not because of what he said... it's because of the overly sensitive sheep that seem to only care when a faggot or a negro is mentioned.

I've always thought that his act of pretending to care for the players, providing lavish training facilities, being overly involved, and running on the court and shit was all just a ruse and he was covering for some character flaws tbh...

I am grateful for Cuban putting together the 2010-2011 Mavs championship team but I would not be surprised if he said that to cover his own ass. No telling how many anti-Semitic things he said about Stern while Stern was the boss. Privacy does not matter anymore. Anything you say can be used to destroy even if it's in a house that you paid for and own. It doesn't matter if a tranny slut videotapes you and then sells the tape to TMZ. Yeah, we all get it that Sterling is a racist piece of shit but he has a track record of this. Why the witch hunt now? I still think it's highly possible that this is a set up by Magic Johnson or perhaps even Sterling himself. He may have planned this whole controversy to make the Clippers worth more than they are so he can sell them and make a ton of money off them.

Doing nothing and waiting for the outcry to fade means the Clippers becoming a massive financial burden on the league with no sponsors, no remaining fans (even the diehards are gone if he gets to stay), and almost no ability to attract players or coaches, as well as the NBA being known as "the league with the racist owner" (yes, he was racist before, but casual fans and non-fans didn't know or care until now)....

The scary thing is nobody is truly questioning on how the tapes were leaked in the first place. The masses are ignoring the fact that this man stated his beliefs in a private matter -he did not cause harm nor did he have intention to.

Suddenly everyone forgets Swowden and how he exposed the NSA for breaching citizen's privacy on all levels.

Fine Sterling 100M and let this be done with. He's not going to sell the team nor can they force him to.

actually they can...they can make the Clippers the pass through rite of passage team of the league...purge the NBA rosters by shitting on the Clippers franchise....how? by making all the players Free Agents at the end of the season....CP3 and Blake gone...the only remaining players are shitty players that have no other place to go...other owners will basically get to cherry pick from the Clippers best players and Clippers are forced to keep all the shitty players...his ass will eventually sell:hat JVG suggested this and the Rockets owner his in agreement with this from what I heard

Actually I find it more troubling that people are openly in favor of private opinions and views being used against us in public/our careers. Something Americans constantly ridicule Russian KGB History for.

I fear 9/11 really fkd with American ideals. Being spied on "for our own safety" is accepted.

Don't be surprise if the league imposes a fine and sweeps everything under the rug. If the Clippers goes deep in the playoffs, the narratives switches to how united the team and the fans are in times of trial. Winning cures everything.

DTS has been a racist for decades, yet Clipper fans have been supporting the team so it doesn't change anything. People just want accountability and the best way to do this is by means of public apology.

Apology and a large fine will right the ship for now. Asking him to sell the team will just prolong the issue thus dragging the Clippers branch deeper into the mud.

I disagree with a monetary fine. It won't affect him and will just cause his team to suffer. It will be blood money in the league's pocket that goes to whom? Another Jew.

The market has to decide on this. If the league wants to make a statement about where they are headed in the next decade, they will pressure him to sell or turn over power to someone else. He'll claim Alzheimer's and that will be that. It has nothing to do with the Clippers. It's really a fight between an old ass rich man and his arm candy and I cannot believe the nation has wasted this much energy on it as if it's a shocking revelation that an old white man doesn't want his arm candy tagged with being a coal hauler.

“I thought that there’s got to be a way to disrupt him from owning the team,” said Alexander, who after 20 years owning the Rockets is one of the longest tenured owners in the NBA. “I gave him the sword to deal with this. I said, ‘Let the players become free agents.’”

The real issue at hand here is that the white race is being demonized by this individual's private phone call. Suddenly he becomes a "rich white man" imposing his will on the "poor minorities". Then you have the president address the issue and it becomes the topic of america.

This is Trayvon Martin all over again. Any time a black related incident occurs it's an outrage and grabs national attention.

This all leads back to the black man blaming the white man.

The President was asked his opinion on it. He didn't hold a press conference about it (afaik). He's historically been well versed regarding the NBA (shocking I know) so getting his take on it is nothing out of the ordinary.

I don't think it's about white vs black here. I think it's about a franchise owner in a league of predominately black players (not that it matters) who's racial bias was made known even if against his will. How can you work for or even allow to represent you a man who's racial bias is known? Every decision made by him will be tainted by that fact. If people like Doc continue to work for him, shame on them. They have the loudest voices here and if they cannot speak with their wallets then they don't really care. The hollow gestures are akin to the pink ribbons for breast cancer worn by those who never donated a dime.

NPR was talking about this this morning and said that any punishment would have to be decided by the league's constitution, which is not a public document and that, though no one knows for sure what it says, that reportedly the only violation for which the league can take away a team (or force to sell) is for gambling.
