Sit out game 5 since he can't stay on the court anyway. Let patty go mega man for a game. Fuck it.

It didn't look serious to me. He had little minor sprain he will be ok.

I'm more worried about his swollen ovaries than his ankle tbh.

Almost relieved he has a good reason for playing so marginally. Hope he's okay by Wednesday, think we can lean on Patty a bit now. If Tony doesn't have time to get better it will be hard to advance.

No practice tomorrow. Get round the clock treatment on the ankle and hope he's good to go on Wednesday..

Really bad news.
We can win two more games and win first round series without Tony, but the Spurs won't win against POR/HOU without him.

One bad playoff game erases everything Parker has done for this team. SMH, some dumb fans out there. He's a great player that is crucial for this team's success, hopefully he's healthy.

Honestly didn't notice that much of a drop off since he sprained it. He should be ok..but if not hopefully Green or Marco will step up with increased minutes

He mainly stopped attacking the paint, which obviously affected our offensive rhythm, im sure he will be okay, but in this series, we need penetration, not jump shots, this could be an issue for game 5, hopefully the home crowd can give this team a big boost so it wont matter

It was obvious he was gonna get it looked at. That ankle roll looked ugly

As much as I shit on Parker, I hope he's fine. We need him for this series and for the long term.

:lol jesus christ what a vanilla take... Tim Duncan was dominating that game, Miami had no answer.. the two Chris's were getting mauled in the post until suddenly Popovich went with Parker as the main option in the 2nd half... and you know the rest.

No shit. Dude is fine. Timmy's knee injury scare to end the season vs Dallas looked about 100 times worse and he came back and played like a man. Hopefully the bitch side of Parker doesn't continue to resurface or else we have no chance at getting one for the thumb tbh. :cry

Tony has not had the burst in this series like he did in the regular season. I wonder if the back is still a problem. We are really missing his penetration and his finishing ability. He missed a lot of layups last night and looked like a man with concrete shoes.

Hopefully Tony is alright. We really need him to be close to the real Tony Parker.

The more I watch him lately, I more I think/feel that he really needs a 3 point shot. I can't believe he still doesn't have one even though he's been working with one of the best shooting coaches in the world. It would really open up the game for him and not have him have to put his body on the line trying to get to the rim all the time.

We needed to start Mills next game either way, this injury just gives CIA Pop an excuse to hold back his maginot line. And for the love of xenu please counter blair with Baynes. It would be Dallas' reckoning.

This.

Just an excuse for the fans, so when Parker goes 4-20, 12 points, 11 turnovers, and the worst plus minus in history, the fans won't access any blame.

It might still go 7 but even if it doesn't, they've played so many OT games, the winner will come out feeling like they played 7 games.

Yeah, no big deal. Just like last year's NBA finals, no big deal. Parker's production has already slipped this postseason and now he's dealing with this.

2nd round for the Spurs is their championship. If they get there, consider they won it all this year and pretend it's over. Stop watching... go do stuff.. wait for the SI cover etc..

G-Dawgg
04-29-2014, 07:10 PM
Left ankle? Tony's gonna have to suck it up and be a man and shake it off. This is the playoffs. In fact, he better be on a court somewhere right now practicing his mid-range jumpers because that seems to be all the Dallas defense is letting him have and he's not knocking down a good % of them....

Perhaps but that first unit is inept at scoring this series, it's taken Manu to get into the game before production picks up with ball movement. 1st unit has been doing the same crap, either go 1 on 1 or force it into Duncan and hope for the best which equals stagnant offense.

His quickness and burst that hasn't been there was there tonight. He isn't on the level of last year and might not ever regain that form this season but he showed he can still hit another level. His conditioning still isn't right from barely playing this season and he's a little beat up but tonight was very encouraging as far as tony goes and if he will be able to improve as the playoffs go on.

ankle injuries are fine to deal with, anybody who plays pick up knows... just take painkiller shots and its over with, it doesn't hinder your movement or jumping ability

SupremeGuy
05-05-2014, 06:08 AM
you keep painkillers on hand when you play pick up?

you from east germany, rightI don't think he meant that he takes painkillers for street games, but as professional athletes, it's available for them. lol That'd be hilarious though, if someone actually gave that much of a fuck about pick up games.
