You can't hate Manu this season though, Timothy & Emmanuel having been carrying that hero balling, turn tabling, french wanker/enrique all season.

I'd like to see the results though.

Should have been Gibson IMO but 6th man never goes to frontcourt guys tbh.

Probably didn't want the Bulls to have two award winners in this age of everything must be equal

Good news for Clips just keeps on rolling ...hope Durant is not eliminated before he gets his award.

:lol As I explained upstairs a couple weeks ago, Sixth Man is a chucking/scoring award.... most voters just look at the list of sixth men, sort by points per game, and vote for the top scorer to win the award....

Jamal basically won this award in January when he dropped 37 and 11 off the bench against Toronto.... no other bench player in NBA history has had at least 31 points with at least 11 assists in a game, Jamal did it twice this season....

If Manu would have stayed healthy, he would have won it. Once he got injured, I'm p sure everyone knew wasn't going to win it anymore.

How many minutes did he play?

How many minutes did he play?
30.3 MPG, which is actually less than the last two winners, Friend Killer (33.5) and Harden (31.4)....

I meant in the 37-11 games. Was playing starter minutes and just coming off the bench?

32 minutes.... but again, no bench player in any amount of minutes had ever put up that kind of statline until Jamal did it in November and January....

Yep. Just like defensive POY awards are always rigged to big men who rebound a lot and swat shots. Marcus Camby was a weak defender, but always looked to swat the shots.

:cry Manu got robbed that is all. :cry

:cry manu deserved it. best player off the bench on the best team. its simple. :cry

He started too many games, tho this year was one of the weakest in recent times when it came to 6th men, he was the default choice.

Jamal Crawford obviously didn't deserve the award this year but who cares? Manu was clearly better but it doesn't really matter tbh..

It makes me legitimately wonder what these guys look at when making these votes. If they look at stats, surely they have to see his 42% fg shooting... I mean hell, how can you even give someone the award for that? Then again.. they gave Kobe an MVP...

Most awards voters are not credible, tbh..

All you have to do is look at the voting results past 1st and 2nd place..some of these dudes voted PJ Tucker as DPOY this season, for example:lol..

Fortunately, more new-age writers are beginning to receive votes for awards..

:lol Even if I were a Clipper homer, there is no way I could be blind enough to think Crawford was the 6th man of the year. It was Ginobili's award.

John Salmons should have won

Taj Gibson would've been my pick. But who gives a fuck about 6th man? It's like saying--here's an award for not being good enough to start but better than the shitty 12th player in the rotation so let's give you an award!

AchillesHeel

Manu was more efficient & gave the team more, despite playing 22 minutes a game compared to Crawford playing 30+...

Also, how convenient from the NBA to give the 6MOY award to a man named Jamal who is a Clippers player. Could be a subtle move to boost their image amid the Sterling racism issue.

Because if it was merit-based I really would pick Gibson.
