Parker shot badly but most important he had his energy through all the game and was not gassed middle of the third. Whatever was bothering him is over. Not a great game but he did not hurt the team, made his FTs had only one to and made an important 3

hopefully this will get him rolling

Shit, maybe it was his wife.. you know with the pregnancy looming that could have been a catalyst to long nights being awake or just trying to make sure you're gonna be there once the birth starts... Coincidence that the baby is born and he has a solid game for 4 quarters.

Danny Green played well too! I loved his defense on Ellis.

9-23, 23 points on 23 shots, tbqh...

But better than a lot of prior games, tbh. Big three at the end.

its amazing how a healthy 10 fingers and 10 toes will let you focus on your job again.

23 pts with 5 assists to only 1 TO and zero PF, 2 rebs, made all 4 FTs and hit the clutch 3. at +3 i'll take it. his silky jumpers in the first Q really got the ball rolling imo.

How's it compare to Paul 6-17 yesterday?

TP needs to back to having 7+ asst a night. I don't mind his scoring but that give and go to Splitter shows that if just pass the ball sometimes, easy shots usually will follow.

Pretty much this. Without Parker playing at last year's level it'll probably be a short playoffs.

I've got 4 kids. I knew he'd be spry last night. Seeing that little baby for the first time just gives you a rush.

9-23 mostly has to do with a couple of shot as the clock expired and another couple of ill-advised shots in the 4th quarter, which were quickly forgotten when he hit that huge 3. Parker had a great first quarter to build a big lead, which evaporated as soon as Beli entered the game. All in all I thought it was a solid game by Tony, and certainly better than anything we've seen since Game 1.

No great but definitely a good game. I thought he moved pretty well. Nothing to complain about. Unless you're a bitch.

I was happy with his performance, but he started getting on my nerves towards the end of the 4th. There was a 3-4 possession span where he basically just dribbled the entire shot-clock and then put up an ill-advised shot and missed. Obviously the clutch 3 shortly afterwards made up for it, but it was still frustrating to watch.

ditto, screamin at him. I guess he thinks it's HIS team so only HE can handle the ball in crunch time. Stevie Francis would be pleased.

He still looked really slow in the 2nd half, tbh..

He played better, but far from what the Spurs need from him going forward..

Kind of like the 'big 5 at with 28 seconds to go in Game 6 of last year's finals. People so often piss and moan about his missed shots, but when the game is on the line is when he is most likely to make the shots. He had been missing so many last night I cringed when he set up for that 3 but he really really is a clutch performer. Regardless of what haters say.

Is he as good as last year? No. But is the team better this year? yes.

He looks good early than fizzles out in the 2nd half... he did come through with that clutch 3 late in the 4th though....

I don't think Tony was bad or anything, tbh, he was decent(started off great and set the tone, as he's been often doing in this series), but I'm still worried about his lack of burst in the 2nd half of games..

Exactly. When other players fail on their play and the shot clock's ticking down they throw it to Parker who has to come up with a shot in just a few seconds. Same with when dudes heave a couple half courters at the buzzer. Their 3pt% suffers but it doesn't mean they sucked from three if they were 3/8 with two of those being halfcourt heaves.

In the 4th quarter he was 3-9 (which is quite bad) for 9 points and 1 assist. Decent but not quite as good as the first quarter.

Bad shooting in 2nd half but it doesn't matter as long as he is aggressive he allows our bigs to get easier offensive rebound, which is what Splitter did. Plus 9/23 isn't that bad for a playoff games and for a guard.
His passing were good too, 5 assists for 1 to (a travel) and could have easily 5 more if Duncan or Splitter weren't fouled or had finish stronger (like the first 2 possessions of the 3rd quarter).

And once again he came big at the end, something that happened in all of our 3 wins.

This is from Clipperfan after last night's game...

Hopefully after he chokes Game 7 away, Choke Paul will demand a trade so we can dump his choking, cap-hogging ass....

I like what Tony did last game though, considering he looks like he's hurting...
