Oh, Gee!!

Spurs will win game 7. Just pissed that they aren't gonna get rest for next series against a tough team (regardless of the winner of por-hou)
Spurs have game 7 on their home court for any of you guys who want jump off the cliff do it now. Can't predict how far this team will go if they win game 7. The Celtics were pushed by the hawks in '08 to 7 games in the first round and still managed to win it all.
Yeah, like the Mavs cant win game 7 with their shooting happy scrubs.

Demanding that Parker and Ginobili play down the stretch is what sunk the Spurs. Green and Leonard should have both been in.
Manu had no business on the court at all down the stretch, sucked so hard tonight.

We can barely get a lead on them that lasts more than 4 minutes and you expect us to blow them out on Sunday? Not happening...but we can still win a close one, though. Embarrassing to have to say that against an 8 seed again.
Trying to be positive because what I just saw was unbelievable

Not embarrassing at all. Mavs are built for the playoffs, they have an aging core mixed with a weak bench that quite simply wasn't going to blow teams out of the water during the regular season and is a big reason why they did not win that many games. Then again, they won nearly 50 in a stacked west. Not your prototypical 8 seed no matter how you slice it.

That Celtics team didn't have to worry about a Heat team that's bought there way to a super team and they didn't have to face a loaded and league-backed OKC team, either.

These have been weird playoffs. The top seeds are having it rough in just about every series. I know Miami swept Charlotte, but if Jefferson had been healthy, it might've been a different story because they were able to keep it close the first couple of games. And look at how many HUGE leads have been blown in so many games - it just feels weird this year.

To give up 13 offensive rebounds, 12 more shots & lose the FTA advantage is what cost the Spurs. It was a 2 point game where we had a nice 4th Q lead and blew it because we couldn't keep them off the offensive glass & because they hit a lot of the tough shots they took throughout the game.

Three point shot has made a mockery of the game. It allows weaker teams to get hot from three and defeat superior teams. The game was better before the three point shot.
I also said the same thing when Spurs win games by hitting a ton of threes. It isn't real basketball. It is a jump shooting contest. I miss the days of the big man and trying to work it inside for the best shot instead of watching short guys jack three point shots.

Are you seriously that blind and stupid?
Manu 4th quarter stats: 0/3, 0FG%, 2 TOs, various other bad plays on both ends.
Parker 4th quarter stats: 13 points on 67% shooting.
Why would I bitch about Parker's one bad play when he was playing great? Manu was just shit so there was nothing to talk about besides negatives.
I'm glad I'm obvious, because what I say always makes sense and is based on facts and reality.
LOL you are pathetic. It's absolutely obvious you get a hard on each time you see your hero parker and that you hate Manu. It's that simple, you can throw all the excuses and numbers you want.

Mavs by 10+ in game 7.
I don't see a lot of fear on the Spurs. I see composure. The Mavs are the ones acting like they have won a freaking championship everytime they make a shot in the 4th. I give us about an 80% shot of winning game 7 at home. Too many people here are overlooking the Mavs. No one ever said that it was going to be easy to get back to the Finals.

Win tonight, Houston, please.
Even if they do, and if we win our Game 7, we still miss out on a rest advantage against a younger and faster Rockets or Blazers team. And then you have OKC getting gifted Game 7 and will face a clearly inferior 2nd round team.
imagine if we had actually played blair in the finals last year instead of shitter.he would have got the rebound

Get the fuck out son. Manu plays well, I comment on it like I did earlier in the series. He plays like shit, I comment on that too.
If you didn't have such a "hard on" to cry about negative Manu posts, you'd see the positive ones. Again, you're either blind or stupid or both. Had Manu been playing well, I wouldn't care about a turnover (like with Parker). He plays like shit and every bad play he makes is that much more annoying. In case you aren't aware, Duncan is 38 years old and Manu is a couple months away from being 37...oh and Parker's dealing with various "maladies" so a couple days of rest does jack shit against a young, fast, and highly-athletic 2nd round team. It's not something to gloss over.

No kidding. This board acts like a playoff loss is the end of the world. We played for home court advantage throughout the regular season for this very reason. If we lose a game 7 at home, that certainly sucks, but a game 6 loss at Dallas is not the end of the world. You'd think that most Spurs fans would be immune to adversity after 6.

How about we cross that bridge when we come to it. Come to think of it, Duncan was 37, and Manu was a couple moths away from being 36 last year against a "young, fast, and highly-athletic 2nd round team" last season and we still found a way to beat the Warriors.

It's the playoffs. The West is loaded. Look at the other series.
Sure, the Thunder will play a crippled Grizzlies team without one of their best players in Game 7 AT home. The Clippers look inspired to win as much as they can in the face of Sterling's antics and will likely blow out a crippled Warriors team in Game 7 AT home. And then you have a 4 vs. 5 matchup that is always tough but this time, the winner will be a faster, younger, and more athletic team whom we have had trouble against. We were the only team facing a team we had won 10 games in a row against and now we're facing them in a Game 7 at a basketball court where the Mavs blew us the fuck out in Game 2. It simply should not have gone to this point. Oh and we have a well-documented history of playing poorly in day games, which we'll have to do on Sunday.

Game 1: Not a fluke, we carried ourselves back.
Game 2: sure Mavs got that.
Game 3: Lucky 3
Game 4: executed down the stretch should have been what happened in game 3 if they weren't suck lucky fucks.
game 5: Controlled all game.
How would they be up 3-1?
Game 1: Dallas was up 10 in the 4th. They just choked it.
Game 2: Legit win.
Game 3: Carter 3.
Game 4: Ellis choked the game tying lay-up that would've forced OT.
You can make a case that they should've swept us. This series really could go either way.

No, I'm not saying we don't have a chance but we've made things that much harder against us. I thought our margin for error was HUGE but it's turned out not to be the case. We need to take advantage of any chance to rest our aging core.

Well, then, you might as well not even watch. Good grief.

No, to lose in Round 1 vs. and 8 seed a year after being within seconds of a Championship Title would be inexcusable and the fact that it's gone 7 is alarming, that's all.

Again, I'm not giving up, just listing the huge obstacles in front of us, which we can't just gloss over.

Nobody is glossing over the obstacles. Any true Spurs fan already knew it was going to be an uphill climb to return to the Finals, no matter our seed. What you are saying isn't exactly revelatory.

THIS Spurs team going to a Game 7 against an 8 seed is revelatory is the point I'm trying to make. But again, I'm not giving up which I can't stress enough.

And the point I've already made is that this isn't your traditional 8 seed. Not trying to downplay the way the Spurs are playing, they can certainly play better. But you have to realize that it might just be less about what the Spurs are doing wrong and more about what the Mavs are doing right.
Oh, Gee!!

Definitely. Spurs still need to pick up their level of play, but last I checked, the Finals don't start until June. They have plenty of time to play up to their capabilities. In my opinion, they are already playing much more solid basketball compared to game 1.

That Heat team didn't have 38 and 37 year old players as two of their best players on the team with their other part of their Big 3 having played most of a full year of basketball due to international play. Hopefully, they can dig deep for one more championship run but we should all be super pissed we've been pushed to the max in the 1st round.

I honestly don't care when they lose, just if they lose. A loss in say, the WCF, is equal to a loss in the first round in my book.

Mavs are doing alot right and it seems they have a smaller margin of error than we have. They can miss more free throws and still beat us. They can have more turnovers than us and still beat us. Dirk can score less than his average and still beat us. We have to play our best game of the series yet to beat them Sunday. I'm sure we can...I just hope we have enough left in the tank afterwards.

Zactly. if they win it all, are we gonna be bitching that it took 7 games to shake the Mavs?

Why? What if the next rounds are a cakewalk? Or, what if they win it all but are pushed to 7 in every series? The ring is the thing. Enjoy the ride, and don't despair until they are eliminated.

Haha, no prob. When you think about it, it's almost all that we really got left. This could be the end of a truly great era not just for the Spurs, but for the history of professional sports. We shouldn't spend it wallowing about how they are doomed. Let's just enjoy the ride and let come whatever may :toast
