Nice to see Duncan ahead of that statpadder Wilt. IF Spurs can make another deep playoff run, TD probably takes this record from Magic. Duncan had 11 double-doubles in last years playoffs. More than reasonable for him to get six more.

heyheymymy

he could be going into the semis only needing 5 more to tie, if he plays in the WCF and Finals, he will get it this year, no doubt. especially if they go long series..

2002 - 8
2003 - 22

Assuming we're ignoring the pre-merger era (Wilt had a double-double in 92% of his career games...lol), Barkley tied Duncan with 22 in the '93 playoffs. Shaq is the next closest I can find with 21 in the '00 playoffs.

edit: scratch that - I forgot the playoffs were set up differently back then. Russell/Wilt never even played 20 playoff games in one season. Also, Dwight Howard tied Duncan/Barkley with 22 double doubles in the '09 playoffs.

03 was amazing, especially in the Finals. In the 03 Finals he led the Spurs in points, rebounds, assists, and blocks. And between both teams he led in points, rebounds, and blocks and was 2nd in assist only behind Jason Kidd. Should've gotten a quadruble double in game 6, an amazing performance. I consider his performance that year including the playoffs to be the best year anyone in the NBA has had since MJ has retired.

Really puts into perspective how impressive it was for KG to lead Minnesota in points, rebounds, assists, steals, and blocks over the entire '03-04 season. Pretty damn crazy.

What are y'all talking about? I wasn't "shitting" on D-Rob...he never led the Spurs in all 5 stats for an entire season.

'90: Willie Anderson led the team in assists
'91: Rod Strickland led the team in assists
'92: Rod Strickland led the team in assists
'93: Avery Johnson led the team in assists
'94: Dennis Rodman led the team in rebounds
'95: Avery Johnson led the team in assists
'96: Avery Johnson led the team in assists
'97: injury year
'98-'03: Duncan led the team in points

So relax with the condescending comments acting like I'm not a Spurs fan or some shit.

The year KG led Minnesota in points/rebounds/assists/steals/blocks they made the WCF.

I don't know why some of y'all seem to be getting so defensive. I'm not saying KG is better than Duncan or D-Rob or anyone else. All I said was that his '03-04 season was insanely impressive considering he lead his team in all 5 major categories. As far as I know, he's the only one to accomplish that. There have been plenty of great players on bad teams...none of them were able to do what KG did.

In terms of being likeable Robinson >>>>>> Duncan.

And yet a lot of the contemporary players (Shaq for example) didn't like him. I think the clean cut, religious angle bothered some of them.

And I think Duncan, while an introvert to some degree, has a wicked sense of humor if you're paying attention. Very subtle and deadpan.

Why is this shit blue :lmao

Most reasonable spurs fans should want both to happen, with winning the championship being the priority.

Ugh, how badass would it be if Duncan surpassed Magic AND won the title this season?

all he needs to do is hit 3 dbl dbls in a 7 game series.

Really nice side story to us going for #5 this year. It would be sweet if Timmy can get both and Finals MVP. :)

got another one last night with 21/10.

2 more is totally feasible this series to take the #1 spot. He at least ties it.

It's amazing that he could conceivably tie magic on Sunday night in this category. I know he has played in more playoff games because of the format change in the first round but still it's unbelievable.

A nigga that can barely speak English, and also has Aids, shouldn't have the all-time record for double-doubles in the playoffs, it's embarrassing, tbh..Tim needs to take over..

Yea...and Magic played on A all star team....with 3-4 top 50 players of all time and a top 3 center of all time.

Tim Duncan with 10/11 sets the career record for playoff double-doubles (158)!

Knew he would get it done this post season, he had 10 reb and 8 pts and they kept feeding him in the 4th. the play he got the record on was a sweet move too, not some b.s. free throws or something.

LEGENDARY DE5TINY
