I have zero faith they'll maintain this lead tbh. Should've stepped in Dallas' throats but instead they let them score a quick 7.

I was not a fan of his defense on that last possession: simply standing around and allowing his man Harris to make a 3 pointer, cutting the lead to 22. Disgraceful.

all it takes is a 10-0 run to get the Spurs anxious again.

Mavs will come back in the 3rd. By the end of the 3rd the differential will be single digits.

Yup...if the Mavs cut the lead to single digits, the Spurs will fold like a cheap lawn chair. Just watch.

More like, 15. Spurs are due for a major scoring drought after shooting ~70%.

I don't have zero faith, but yes I do worry. The Spurs should have been up by 30, but Dallas almost cut it to under 20.

Pop needs to stop playing Marco. Shit, I wouldn't mind seeing Joseph get some minutes if he needs a guy to play spot minutes.

But lets be real for a moment. The Mavs have less than 50 at the half. You're not going to keep a thirty point 1st half lead. Spurs won't continue shooting well, Tony will stop attacking the paint in the 2nd half because he always does. He'll instead defer to the outside shooters. You could see the Spurs getting away from attacking the paint late in the 2nd, and started looking for outside shots. I realize it's an ebb and flow of the defense, keeps them guessing and moving, but if the Spurs fall in love with the outside shot that will affect how they play defense as well. We've seen it all series.

What was funny is the one announcer said, "Dallas just has to cut the lead to, say, 22 at the half, to give themselves a shot at a miracle." Shit, tell me the NBA ain't fucking rigged.

Dude JVG is just trying to keep viewers from turning their TVs off. That comment has nothing to do with rigging conspiracy theories.

Jeff Van Gundy isn't steering the NBA. He's a coach and his takes are quite often oracle like compared to who he's often paired with. Jeff has insight, listen to him because he knows what he's talking about.

Yeah, I guess you're right. If the NBA was truly rigged, Joey Crawford would've reffed this game and not the Nets-Raptors Game 7. :lol

He didn't say it would be 22. He said that's what he would tell his team, try to cut the lead to something like 22 then you can chew on that after the break. Now it's 14. That's manageable, but bleeding has to stop and you just hope your buffer holds. If they keep leaving the 3pt shooters wide open, it will be over by the middle of the 4th.

No. It was cut to 14. They got it back up, but that's not the same as keeping it and it finished 24pts up.
