pretty much. Enrique turned into MVParker, Turnobili into Ginobili. Duncan is always Duncan, just doing his best with age. Great game from all, hopefully they build from this.

Gotta see this more consistently. If Game 1-6 Parker shows up for most of the series, the Spurs have no chance against Portland.

Where the hell was this all series? Did he somehow get healthy between games 6 and 7?
If Parker has any of this in his tank for every game, the Blazers are screwed.

If this is the Tony the Spurs will have going forward/in winning time, my confidence in the team skyrockets. Not sure him, Manu, and Tim will have the endurance to last to the Finals if each series drags out like this one, but seeing the Big 3 play like they did today was nostalgic.

Tony was great.
I'd still like to see another month or so of Renaissance Duncan before it's all over. It's like Tim intentionally takes himself out of the gameplan at times.

He was dominant tbh...only chance the Spurs have to ring this year is for him to play like that the majority of the remaining games.

so there really was nothing wrong with him the 1st 4 games? he looked so damn slow
but man was he impressive in game 7, vintage tp tbh, manu too looked like the manu of old on a couple of drives

Tony was the star in this game but for the series, Manu was the most consistent, his only really bad game was game 6. For us to go all the way these two guys have to be great with Tim and Leonard picking up the slack.
Manu and TP both looked very spry and seemed to have pace they hadn't showed for the entire series. Weird.

word is still out on Duncan tbh..
Parker is just being his inconsistent self
will probably pull his Kobe warrior schickt when he shits the bed vs Portland again
hes average something like 13 points on sub 40% shooting vs Portland this year
Duncan had a bye playing undersized centers who play no defense to begin with
same with Splitter

Maybe Tony Parker has been conserving his energy. I wish he had done so by sweeping the Mavs, but then he might have been rusty. We will have Portland come into our house a little rusty, and we will have our game/no game/game/no game rhythm. EL NONO - you're the man.

One of the rare times Parker and Ginobili both played well simultaneously. Going to need more of that.

Parker had a great game 7, but until today's game, he probably deserved a D grade for the series, tbh..
Spurs don't need Tony to be as dominant as he was in today's game, but they need him to at least score efficiently and constant penetration to open shit up for everybody else..

Depends on expectation ... hater were saying bench him we don't even need him and suddenly Parker has to play great because surprise, ball movement and 3 ball doesn't work anymore in the playoff.
Game 1, best player with Duncan
Game 2, good first half, didn't try to shoot in the 3rd quarter and it was a blowout already when he came back in the fourth
Game 3, incredible first half, did nothing in second half but without his first it could have been a blowout too
Game 4, bad game but was clutch at the end
Game 5, good but not great, clutch at the end
Game 6 same as game 5
Game 7, the only great game maybe, what was the difference ? getting calls and probably not having Belinelli destroy the lead Parker had build in first quarter every time.

MVP of the series along with Splitter. Onto the 2nd round thanks France and Brazil :tu
In the post-game comments, virtually every star and both coaches referred to Tony's dominance in this game and that he was "fantastic", or words like that, and that was from the Mavs.
So obviously the opponents respect the man more than some of the alleged Spurs fans do. Remarkable to me.
He will NOT be able to play at this level in every game, thought, and any rational observer knows that. If he did, he would be the greatest point guard of all time, and he is never going to be that.
Manu's energy and focus was, to me, the biggest difference in how well everyone played in this game. Dirk noted that Tony had huge first quarters against them in virtually every home game. The thing that was different this time, imo, was that we didn't throw away the lead that we got from that strong first quarter. Manu noted that one difference for him in last night's game was that he didn't 'fall in love with' the three pointer, and that he didn't have so many turnovers. That kind of focus and discipline makes it very hard for the other team to tee off on one player like they do sometimes with Parker.

If his previous games weren't great, the last was.
Pop strategy "When nothing works...Tony Hero to the rescue!" worked.
Tony said after the game "They tried switches and different stuff to get us out of our game, and they worked. The first three or four games, we had a hard time playing Spurs basketball, and finally Pop just decided to let me go, let me be aggressive, and just see what happened; it worked out pretty well."
I like this from Grantland.
"This league is still about players making shots, and Parker remains one of the most creative and unique scoring threats around. At first glance, his ability to get layups seems ridiculous; after all, he’s only 6-foot-2 and 180 pounds. But Parker remains the craftiest attacker in the league. The combination of his speed, his craftiness, and his on-ball decision-making is a match made in restricted-area heaven. And that spin move. Magnifique."

If a team deliberately dare one of the big 3 to beat them, you let guys do their stuff and live with the results tbh
at one point if Manu, Tim or TP can break a defense efficiently it will be just a matter of time this will open game for the others
I don't think during these POs run opponents will just watch how nice the Spurs ball movement is

Great job by Parker again. His play in the 1st quarter was just insane, and the game was pretty much over in 3 minutes...
