View Full Version : Why are black males unproportionally showcased on American media?

Black males only represent 7% of the USA population yet in American media they are showcased upwards of 35% and that is not even considering sports. Otherwise it would be 55%+

On the other hand, Black women are shown far less. Other males such as Asian or Middle Eastern are nearly nonexistent.

Is this the byproduct of a Black male President? Will this die down after 2016 or remain the norm?

Most are well aware of the impact Afro America has made on the music scene. Hell even Jimmie Rodgers "The Father of Country Music" talked about blacks influensing his sound as a kid growing up in Mississippi.

This is very true.
