The term "monkeyball" was originally derived from "n!ggerball"- a term first introduced by an honorable mavs fan during the 2011 finals which was used specifically on Lebron James. Therefore, it is easy to fathom that the original term was mostly often used to describe such a style of game which is primarily dependent on iso ball (individual's athleticism and skills) rather than teamwork, so that a skillful player may still be a monkeyballer imho.

I invented the initial term "n!ggerball" in honor of Lebron James during the 2011 finals and it was DoK (not DMC) who later gentrified it and introduced "monkeyball", DMC did contribute alot to promoting that term though.

Let's be real, any player that isn't on the Spurs who has an iota of athleticism is called a "monkeyballer" on here whether they're skilled or not :lol
