Yes, though it's not like there was much competition, tbh. I'd put him above Rasho, Nazr, Fabulous Fabricio, etc., though, tbqh.

Splitter, Diaw, and Horry are the 3 competent bigs we've has since Robinson, with shout outs to McDyess and Kevin Sorbo.

Yes, its close however.

When Nazr Mohammed was engaged, and played defensively well, he was a damn damn good center. Blocked shots, rebounds, and him and Ginobili had a good pick and roll rapport as well like Splitter, but, Mohammed also had a jump shot and a nice hook shot.

That said, Splitter's versatility on the defensive end, as hes shown these playoffs, going from Dirk, to Aldridge, to also switching to Devin harris and other guards without losing a beat. Hes really come into his own. This beats a dead horse I understand, but man if he just developed the hook shot a little more. Not much, but a little more, he would be a close to all star center, and while that seems ridiculous, with Duncan aging more, and Splitter possibly getting a little more responsibility, he could boost his numbers.

All that said, yes, Tiago Splitter is the best center in the post David Robinson era.

That explains a lot. Probably had the hots for Rasho because she thought the blue lips were a sign that he was into getting choked.

The overreactions keep getting more and more ridiculous... What we know is that he was the worst player of a Finals we lost by an hair thus arguably the biggest choker in franchise history, the rest is speculation.

Agree and while a bit sad, it also shows how lucky we have been and the tendency to take things for granted.

A center that can walk and chew gum is a real find. Splitter moves incredibly well for a big man, but since we were spoiled by DRob's surreal big-man athleticism we don't realize it as much.

What I do know is no team has an advantage at the C-PF spots in the league against us. Throw in Parker/Leonard in fuego, Manu mixing it up in the paint, Danny hitting 3s, and dat bench and we be unstoppable!

He's the best at blocking dunks with his mind like we saw with Aldridge blowing uncontested bunnies tho... Can't take that away from him...

Easily. He's high skilled... Just needs to play without fear.

Duncan is definitely the Center. The better question is who if the best forward. The answer is still probably Splitter or post season Horry.

That 25 point in 21 minutes Game 5 in the finals may be one of the greatest performances i've watched. The guy went scoreless the first 35:57 of the game and got red hot the final 18 minutes of the game.
