Don't expose him like that... it will be like the time that a Spurstalk poster got Parker and Duncan fined for posting the Halloween satire picture of Joey Crawford because they didn't have the common sense not to post it on the internet...

The point isn't that he deleted the tweet. It's that he failed to see how the Spurs underwent almost exactly the same situation in Game 6. He deleted the tweet when people called him out on it.

I guess it's good he has a short term memory.

Sucks that he also forgot how to make a three though.

We saw the same, I was thinking that during the game tonight when they were up 7 with 40 some odd seconds left, I said it's not over we saw this before.

Granted we did not lose on a out of bounds call like they did tonight which would have made it ten times worse, but the Spurs blew it fair and square in 28 seconds.

Disregarding the context, that meltdown was far worse than 6 (in that you can hang a lot more on the Clippers). Players miss foul shots and (Lebron's) bricked threes have weird rebounds ... plus Ray Allen happened. This time, the mistakes were all on the Clippers with bad shots late in shot clocks, stupid turnovers and complete lack of execution. And they completely bailed out Westbrook's own bricked trey.

You are right, Crawford shot some horrible way out threes hoping they would fall after his last one went in, I even saw him wave Paul off a few times when he came for the ball to launch one late! Then you have PAUL with that stupid TO with 17 seconds left when all he had to do was get fouled? What kind of shit was that? I can't believe that crap, they lost on a call they can say yes but those plays were just flat out stupid.

It was not the exact same situation at all. Spurs were up 5 and bricked two free throws while giving up an offensive rebound at the end, they didn't turn the ball over twice in the critical moments of the game and get raped by the officials simultaneously

Danny is just paranoid. Both teams played bad the last 2 min of the game. Both
teams played poor but the questionable out call at the OKC side looked bad. Doc will
get a big fine because in the presser he said the refs screwed up.....

This. That Clippers collapse is 10x worse than the Spurs one IMO. The only reason why the Spurs one was bigger is because it came in the Finals..

Because of the stage yes, because they were roping it off and rolling out the trophy even more yes :( They got that far and lost it, that makes it worse. Clippers lose a finals game 5 like this I bet it would sting just as bad or worse since they have no titles with this team, but to get that far and then lose it is just as bad.

They rolled out the trophy for us, dude. Clippers fucked up more than we did, that's true, but 6 means way, way more.

2 offensive rebounds, two missed free throws

6 trumps it

It doesn't absolve the Spurs from losing game 6, but imho, the Spurs lost game 6 by a series of unfortunate occurrences that could have gone either way, and just fate screwed them. In my opinion, the Clippers choked away that game.

As was stated by another poster, they weren't officially fined for it...

Still, no need to expose the players in that fashion... we're supposed to be fans, not paparazzi.

From the article:

"The photo, taken at a large Halloween party, began circulating last weekend via various message boards and the popular sports website Deadspin. The national and local media picked up on it not long after, prompting official no comments from the Spurs and the NBA."

Well, I wasn't necessarily talking about Tim and Tony getting fined. I just didn't realize that the photo was leaked from SpursTalk.

Why do people insist on using twitter when they make 10's of millions to shut the fuck up? The last thing you want to do as a professional athlete is tweet out your brain farts.

It wasn't just the Clippers or refs who made horrible plays during those 40 seconds. OKC made a lot of mistakes that just worked out for him. Almost anyone who watched it realized it was horrible basketball from all parties involved.

They were up 11 points with less than 5 minutes to go 4 with less than 2 minutes to go. I agree it was a pretty massive collapse but the stage is directly tied into the level of collapse.

Memphis dropping a game 1 in the 1st round after leading by 27 against the Clips isn't quite as good as GSW blowing game 1 in the 2nd round up 16 with 4 points remaining.

I could see Green becoming an Horry-like role-player later in his career. A guy who comes in and brings championship-level play and attitude to title-ready teams. It's amazing how much he's grown in regards to the clutch factor over recent years. Not that he's not going to slump anymore. He will, and he may starting next game. I'm just saying he's grown into quite the championship-caliber complimentary piece. If he doesn't stay with the Spurs, I could see him ring-chasing, but in a good way where he's actually essential to helping the teams win and not sitting on the bench.

DPG21920
05-23-2014, 12:33 AM
Great bump. It tore him up, despite the fact the Spurs wouldn't have sniffed 6 without his shooting until that point, that it didn't end in a title. That's what you love about him. He was in it for the team and took it personal despite having one of the greatest finals ever for a true role player. Boss.
