More than I'd say.
He's painful to watch.
Always was Duncan Lite, and always will be.

Watching KG try to play makes what Tim is doing seem that much more incredible, considering Duncan is a year older. KG has played two more seasons, but also doesn't have the postseason mileage that Timmy does.

It's guaranteed already. He doesn't have to play to get it. The Nets could contest it, but that usually only leads to a buyout-like situation where the two parties agree to a deal to split the money. That's essentially what the Spurs did with McDyess in 2011.

Yeah, I'm a big Garnett fan and he's a first ballot Hall of Famer. Really hated seeing him not get a chance at the repeat when he hurt his knee in 09.

Always was Duncan Lite, and always will be.
Their games are nothing alike. Garnett always kind of reminded me of a cross between Robinson and Webber with less size.

Their games were not similar, but they filled similar roles for their teams, especially when Garnett was with the Timberwolves.
Consistent 20-10 guy, stretch 4, defensive anchor, leader on the court, go-to in the clutch, etc.
The interesting thing is the difference in styles (fundamentals vs. athleticism) and personality (stoic vs. explosive) between the two. In many ways, I've always felt like Garnett was the Bizarro Tim.

Duncan lite? I wouldn't say that...Minnesota was just inept at putting talent around him. The guy would have a lot more rings if he would have Minnesota sooner.

Why would he split the money? Unless he goes to TNT his earning days are over after next season.

It's legally ambiguous. As far as the CBA is concerned, Garnett's money is guaranteed no matter what happens. But in the real world, he can be sued for not rendering services for which he is being paid. So to avoid getting into a court battle over which interpretation should be followed, teams and retiring players agree to a buyout before the retirement officially goes through. So essentially, the player agrees to give back some money for a guarantee that the team won't sue.

Great player in his prime and very passionate! I liked that part of his game. I thought he was an ass and a jerk alot of times though especially after he got to Boston and got that title! He showed alot of passion for the game though and I was a huge fan of his on Minny.

Sheed got sick of this league and retired prematurely in 010 and said he is done with it, if Perkins did not get hurt they win that title! They had that game 7 man!

It was a small robbery, but thats the NBA. Lakers got robbed against them in game 2 of the 2008 finals, only a Korean would be too blind to see that. It's even steven for all I'm concerned. It's a fixed league though, I really wish it wasnt so.

If he's retiring, that's another reason for Duncan to postpone his own retirement. They'd go in the HOF in the same class 5 years from now. Timmy'd have to spend a whole night pretending to appreciate KG and his career. :lol

While I never came close to Duncan, I shit all over Dirk. Because my career should not be taken at face value. Compared to Dirk, i never had the help to win a title until I had 2 HOFers and even then they were basically scrubs that I carried to a title. Meanwhile Dirk had a 39 year old but basically still in his prime Kidd, HOF legend Terry, HOF legend Chandler, HOF legend Barea, HOF legend Marion, HOF legend Stevenson, HOF legend Brewer, HOF legend Peja, and the greatest coach/owner in league history not named Popovich/Holt.
plus my defense has to count for something. I always played 1000000000x better defense than Dirk, even if the other team eventually scored more points than mine and won the series. Because little things like winning games and championships mean a little less when comparing me to Dirk. Until you compare me to Duncan, then winning is everything and fuck individual stats and my defense was overrated.
