This guy needs to go. What a douche!

My former favorite player isn't even in my top five any more.

Four minutes to go in the Third and he is giving the game away. Normally he waits until the fourth so maybe his broken English is confusing him. He is throwing the game early.

This sh-t won't fly in the WCF or the Big Show....

Retire, TOSB.

Manu is wearing down as we go deeper into the playoffs. But, unfortunately for the Spurs, his physical condition isn't the main issue - it's his stupidity. And his stupidity cost us a championship last year.

Guys, why do you even respond to Skulls, GY, Hater threads on Manu. Its like a broken record. Spurs would not have gotten pass Dallas w/o Manu. He has a couple of bad games and now he sucks.

He played decent last night. And I am sure Parker will be ready next Monday. Remember Parker had the same issue against GS last year and he didn't miss anytime.

Manu is tired.
The second unit doesnt have a ball handler, thats the problem.
You can be 100% sure that Manu would prefer to play alongside Parker, but he cant. He does what he is asked to do.
He is not a PG, you should know this by now.

Today, I think Leonard is really the player that makes the difference. Not Manu.

I've never seen Manu that frustrated with himself... he has total lack of confidence in his shot... none of his layups were falling... he looked clumsy with the ball... The entire Blazers series has been bad-to-mediocre for his standards. One would almost think that he's hiding some sort of injury - even his gait looks entirely different...

That said, we wouldn't have gotten past Dallas without his stellar play in that series. Let me repeat that in a different manner, Manu logged well over his season minute-per-game average and still managed to produce a PER (>20.5) that was better than his regular season metric.

It appears to me that if Pop is leaving him out there it's because he's trying to get Manu to play out of his funk. Much like he did with Mills, Green and Belinelli - or even Duncan's top-of-the-key jumper to an extent.

I don't understand Spurs fans who can call themselves that hating on a player of Manu's caliber... who despite having one of his most forgettable series ever, never fails to compete wholeheartedly for the Spurs organization.

I don't like the Manu hate. He's not nearly the player he was, but that's because he literally may have been the best 2 guard on the planet for a couple of years. We fans remember when, and unfortunately, so does Manu who sometimes tries to do the things he used to. Still, there are not many guards who can attack the rim like Manu can and on occasion he finishes like he used to. We need him to focus on ball handling and solid decision making and not think of himself as the Hero of the past.

Hopefully he defers more and more, which will allow him to impact the outcome in small meaningful ways.

Manu will always be one of my favorites of all-time!

I like manu always have what I don't understand is how for a seemingly fairly smart guy he doesn't understand and adjust on nights when he isn't physically all there. I get the desire to push through and be competitive but sometimes you just have to realize you can't do certain things you used to do most nights every day, adjust and play with in yourself. I'm not saying don't carry the load if you need to from time to time but most guys when they reach their 30s realize that if you got someone that can handle stuff you should save your energy for when its important. Manu doesn't which is kinda infuriating.

Still to all you haters.

Without Ginobili we are not here today, you would be seing Mark Cuban cheering for his mavs against Portland.

The one you hate was the best player in the most difficult round we played this playoffs, against the best defensive team we played this playoffs.

Portland was no better than Dallas in any way, nor offense, nor defense.

So as of now, Ginobili has bailed all of you out in the most difficult series we had.

Deal with it.

You think you would have found a player that could have averaged 17.7 ppg, 4.6 apg, 3.1 rpg, 2.3 spg, 45.0 FG% (36 for 80), 37.8 3-pt% (14 for 37) for 7 millions over a seven game series.

The bench always plays better when Danny Green comes in for Ginobili... Everyone touches the ball, and our bigs actually get to rebound misses off the rim. Manu lost his way a month ago. He's trying to be the hero instead of doing what he was successful in... Creating for others on simple passes

The best two guard could not play starter minutes and never even scored an average of 20 points a game for a season.

Dallas stepped up their D but they were ranked 22nd on D I believe this year! They were not really good on D, but they confused the Spurs with new looks and Monta Ellis and Carter were a pain in our ass, Monta is the type of guard we can never stop. Dallas was not great on D though, not even close this year.

Gino did play hard in that series though, especially game 7! Parker blacked out in game 7 as well! A few helped us get past that series but Manu was the most consistent! I hope to see that again the next round vs the Thunder and not the one we saw vs Portland (Who was god awful alot of times honestly). I hope the TEAM SHOWS up though most of all, if quite a few show up from Tim, Tony, Manu to Kawhi etc. we have a great shot to advance.

Manu owes you nothing, he was not the reason the Spurs lost last years finals.
The whole team was and this is a well known FACT now!
Manu was playing hurt then as was TP, yet I don't see any of you ignorant haters blasting him.
Ignorance appears to be your prime calling card, so change teams if you don't like him because I guarantee none of the Spurs players feel the way you do about him!
With fans like you idiots, who needs enemies?
He will be super hard to replace once he retires.
Now, post your ignorant baseless replies to this!

Some idiots think you are just teleported by divine intervention to the Finals.. Idiot! If it wasn't for Manu clutch play we might be watching Finals on the television... Same thing for Splitter critics, we might have lost to effin Dallas if not for his great play in rnd 1... Every series is crucial and important, and Manu can play badly in Finals, he still was amazing this season

I think Manu redeemed a good part by hitting that 3 that give a 1 point lead with 27 sec left

Some people are just ignorant idiots who do not realize yet that basketball is a TEAM sport.
They should just go root for teams like the Heat or the Thunder who rely on a few elite players.
These types of fans are what gives any sport a bad name, totally classless and clueless!

The Spurs just made it to the NBA finals. Any Spur fan that dumps on a player on the roster is a moron. Spurs play team basketball and they got to the finals as a team. Everybody did their role and kudos to them all no matter how big or small that role was.

There were people ripping him after the big three he hit vs GS last year. Some lame fans will never be satisfied because they have made up their minds about him. If he has a great game, they make excuses or qualifications. If he has a poor game, they gloat like that's all they care about. True fans stand behind their players through the good and bad.

This is the truth!
They are not TRUE fans, and definitely not Spurs "team" fans!
They fly by night bandwagon "individual player" fans, lacking class and intelligence of the game of basketball IMHO,

Manu hasn't done jack other than hand Miami a title last year with his horrible play and poor decisions.

Dude almost screwed us again missing a free throw just like in Game Six. Make the FT and no need for heroics.

WCF isn't the Finals. Let us hope he isn't Heat MVP again this year!

I agree. Quit making excuses for your obvious stupidity in your basketball takes.
You don't make excuses in sports, you suck it up like a man!

Manu had plenty of excuses last season.

No he didn't. He didn't even acknowledge his injury until asked LAST GAME. All he said was "for sure" when asked if he felt healthier.

Manu had plenty of excuses last season.

They ALL did, but then they really didn't, any more than any of the rest of them including TD.
Get a life, and come with a real take and not fallacy.

No, the only one making excuses is you.
Pop has already confirmed what most of us know, Manu was playing injured in last years finals, as was Tony. And to his credit he never once used it as an excuse. Are you calling Pop a liar now too?
Face reality and own up to being totally and completely WRONG for a change. You might be able to repair your worthless credibility on here if you do.

Pop is good at saving face for his players. Injuries don't explain wild passes to the Heat, the refs, and the fans. GTFO.
