All I've heard is Russell Wilson is just a game manager, and it's that D and the Beast who are responsible for their success. Ok, lets go with that, now what if they didn't have the Beast, now what? Then there's the Niners who also get by with a stud runner and defense. So why aren't teams not picking up on that? Ya run the ball, stuff the run and pressure the QB that is a proven formula for NFL success, yet nobody seems real interested in going that route. Ya get ya a bruising running back, some pass rushers and run stuffers. Keep that opposing offense in third and seven or more. While you are a constant third and two because of the running game.

RB by committee is the new tandem for most teams. Also, a good RB will take you far but a great QB will take you farther. Example on this is the difference between Denver and Minnesota this past season. No one wants a shitty Ponder throwing for them and without a real QB threat Peterson will continue to be another Barry Sanders.

I always look at what's working right now. That isn't a great passing game or runing back by committee. The best teams in the league which are the Ninrers and Seahawks do it the way it should be done, run the ball with a monster back, stuff the run, pressure the QB and play that D. The Bears made that work as far back as 1985.

I think the 49ers and Seahawks are the best teams because of their defense. Their ability to get pressure on the QB and play physical defense is what sets them apart. How many of the past SB winners have had a great RB with a poor QB? The league is definitely a more QB driven league now. There are exceptions of course, but they are few and far between.

Without question the league is QB driven but if a team can play great D and wear teams down with a great back you don't need that Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Aaron Rodgers. A great D trumps a great O 100% of the time just ask those old Charger teams with Fouts and all those great receivers and Chuck Muncie.

Russell Wilson throws less than any of the elite QB's, in his two seasons he's won more games than any QB in history.

You'd think more teams would want to use that method, as we saw in the Superbowl, it's deadly. Look at the difference Eddie Lacy made in Green Bay.

We'll see that change as LB's keep getting smaller to cover these new tight ends, the RB will be back.

yeah, because it's so easy to find 2 top 5 rb of the decade.. in niners case it's also the best line in football, so....
