David West has a 30 lb advantage on Battier so he gets the ball in the post and throws up an air ball 15 foot jumper over him :lol

Indy doesn't know how to maintain leads cause as soon as they get one their offense goes to shambles

You just can't throw that pass against MIA, especially when it's near Lebron. It's just a terrible pass that leads to an immediate score as you've seen a hundred times. That pass cannot be straight across.

Malik Hairston
05-18-2014, 04:28 PM
Missed the first 3 quarters, not a surprising outcome, tbh..as I said the other day, this is going to be a tight series for a few reasons:

- Miami hasn't been tested, so far, so it will take them 2-3 games to play withmore intensity
- Pacers are extremely confident against Miami
- Refs..Indiana always has a massive officiating advantage against the Heat, but it's ignored because the Pacers are theloveable underdog in the matchup

BatManu20

If you're Spo, you have to start big in Game 2 IMO. I thought Hibbert/West set a tone early and were aggressive inside freeing up some good looks in the perimeter for Indy. You can't let a team that struggles offensively to have those good looks.

Bosh won't shoot that bad in Game 2 and Haslem is capable of hitting a jumper so I think the spacing issue will correct itself.

Bron will be much better but him having to guard West for heavy minutes will take its toll over the course of a game/series....

I disagree, but it's probably a coin toss on what to do. I think they should stick with the small. Their best runs came when small. The game got out of hand in the third quarter and that was when they went big. Their spacing was awful.

If it was still the Roy from the Atlanta series than I agree with staying small. But Hibbert gets a massive chubby every time he plays Miami, pretty undeniable at this point as he put up 19/9 today despite not shooting well.

When he's that engaged, he's still a force especially against the team with the weakest interior left in the playoffs.

What's different with this Miami team vs last year? I don't watch them much, tbh.

They're just progressively worse due to aging/fatigue from the 4th title run, tbh..

Losing Mike Miller also hurts, too, since they had 0 shooters shoot over 40% from 3 during the regular season..he was also a much better rebounder/passer/defender than Allen/James Jones..

Ray Allen and Battier look completely finished as players, too(Battier was finished last year, to be fair)..the Spurs just matchup very well with them, and I have to assume that Pop learned a lot from last year's Finals(such as putting a leash on Manu in a potential Heat-Spurs series:lol)..

Game over. What's the formula for Game 2 heat fans.
Offensively they're fine but Lebron needs to average 30+ and bring them offensively. I'd also like to see Miami attack the rim more, just demoralize Hibbert since he's as soft as they can be.

Defensively the Pacers are getting whatever they want. Good news is Indiana's not exactly a great offensive team . Easy fix for Miami at this point. In photography world, we call this a test shoot. :lol

Game 1 showed me that Pacers really have no answer for Lebron and that Wade is relatively healthy. Would have liked to see Bosh produce more and that starting line-up by Spo really blew right back in their faces with all the threes they gave up on the other end and how Hibbert managed to get to the line and get offensive boards.

Indy won a game at home as I expected, I see Miami making adjustments and going home 1-1.

But it's also worth noting that fatigue may have taken its toll too. 4 straight NBA Finals is a daunting task, especially for a team that is so reliant on one player. Even the Lakers who had Kobe and Shaq couldn't deliver, despite having a better cast, and that's two Superstars.

true.

I said earlier that the Pacers have to scrap for 48 minutes in order to win, and today, they did just that. The Pacers didn't took a possession off, minus some stupid turnovers from Lance. There's that one play in the 4th quarter during a Wade fastbreak and 4 Pacers made it down the court and made him lose the ball. You don't see that fro the Pacers during the first 2 rounds. They really want this series.

This Miami team is unbelievably stacked Strength, the problem is Lebron is so good it overshadows the rest of the cast. In case I need to remind you its stacked with one Megastar in Lebron, a superstar in Wade, an all star in Bosh, and another all star in Ray allen. Let's not forget the most important element is the group of guys who are seasoned vets such as Birdman who is a dream hustle type of player, Shane fucking Battier, Udonis Haslem, and Mario Chamers. Only in a team this stacked could Michael Beasley and Rashard Lewis be rendered as useless.

Who did that Laker team have past Kobe and Shaq? Rick Fox, Robert Horry, Derek Fisher, and Horace Grant? :lol

To the contrary I thought Miami looked very mortal. The refs helped a bit (big FT disparity, even though I'm not saying it wasn't warranted), but globally the Heat didn't look like they had much left in the tank, and Lebron never managed to take over. They'll have to play a lot better, especially since the Pacers weren't playing that great.

Not so sure Pop will have a short leash on Manu. I guess we'll find out during this series.

Both West and Aldridge are somewhat similar with their mutual love for the mid range jumper. Spurs have gotten decent practice handling those types of players with Dirk and Aldridge. Of course that's just one guy, but West is typically the guy that kills us when we lose to Indiana.

how's the fishing, tbh? Caught anything yet?

If it gets to that, I'll have my client prepare some turnovers so your client can choke on them :downspin:

I was the first to vote Indiana not that anyone should care. I just want to get lit up for it.

Anyway, if Indiana wins today's game like the SHOULD, they will be able to win the rest of this series.

For the past three years, this team has had to go through the Heat...failing each and every time but getting one game better every year. If they don't win this game, I completely doubt they'll win the series and will forever never win any type of championships from then on.

There have been talented teams that cold have won multiple championships like the mid 2000's Suns but couldn't get over the top because they kept getting plain and simple.......bitched.

To conclude, the Pacers need to stop being bitches.

Miami closing this one out with ease in 5. Why is anyone even watching these games?

If Miami wins this game, they should be able to close this out at home in game 6. Indiana needs this game just as much as Miami does imo

This game is crucial for both teams...whoever wins this game has a significant advantage to win the series.
