View Full Version : Heat- Spurs The Rematch

I'm not worried about OKC.The Spurs and Miami will win these two series. I think the bball gods have arranged for this rematch ever since last June.

This will be the highest rated Finals in recent history.

This time, the Spurs will prevail..

Another sign that this will be a 100% lock matchup :

Miami became the first team in history to win a post season series against a team that had swept them in the regular season. Previously teams were 25-0 in winning a series against a team who they had beaten 4-0 is reg season

Spurs will be the 2nd team to do this.

Fuck okc. I'm looking forward for this Finals rematch.

I think if you polled every Spurs fan, given the choice between playing a Pacers team or a Heat team, even though, Spurs would have almost a lock win against the Pacers, most fans would still want to play the Heat.

It would seriously make a great sports story, almost the equivalent of the movie Hoosiers, as far as having a fairytale occurrence

All I can look at is the 0-4 season record and the 2-10 record over the last two seasons. Post-Harden seasons. That and the fact that the league has now been given the two conference finals series it wanted all along, and they can still put Durant back into the Finals to start billing up that KD-LBJ rematch. Sure, a Spurs-Heat rematch sounds sexy to us, and perhaps to those casual fans who really enjoyed last season's thrilling series, but the NBA stands to do a lot better with OKC in the Finals. The Spurs will have to play flawlessly.

This is truly fate. The last two months I've been hoping that Ibaka would somehow miss the series when Spurs and Thunder meet. I felt that he was the wild card that always hurts the Spurs. I was feeling confident yesterday, but now because I got my wish of playing OKC without Ibaka, I am 100% sure Spurs are on an collision course with The Heat.

Last time that the 4 top seeds met in Conf Finals was 2005. Spurs won their 3rd ring against Detroit.:lobt2:

Only caveat, is both Detroit and SA were 2 seeds. So hope Miami and OKC don't repeat that history.:nope

Tonight, we will see for ourselves how destiny influences this impending, inevitable rematch Finals between our beloved Spurs and the Heat.

The Spurs look shaken, and down after those two beat downs at the hands of the Thunder, but they are not out. The Spurs will play their best game of the playoffs tonight to snatch control of this series.

I need Heat to lose game 6 somehow, because when Spurs win game 7 on Monday, they only get 2 days before Finals, and Miami will get 4 days off.

It seems like Finals are early this year. Last year Spurs got 10 days off after WCFs, and in 07, they got 8 days off.

Halfway there.

Tonight, the Spurs polish off the Thunder, don their WCF Champions hats, and celebrate for a short time. After landing back in San Antonio the Spurs will forget their series win and start focusing on their long awaited rematch with the team that temporarily borrowed what should have been theirs last June, the Larry O'Brien Trophy.

I won't stop watching bball, but the refs do make some tick tack fouls at times that can change the flow of the game, most will agree there. When we lose though I don't solely blame the refs at all, unless it is one unbelievable call at the end to decide it, then I get upset.

We all try to blame refs for losses, human nature. But in 7 game series, the best team wins 97.66% of the time.

When else have I done it? You seem to be implying I do it over and over? Alot in here do it and I said it one time or so and you point me out! Oh well we won tonight and are on our way to the finals, done here and not more arguing over this and GO SPURS.
