Surprised to see Elhassan picked us. Usually always picks against us, including against Lakers last year and also had Blazers in 6 this year.
Adande i Guttierez are well known Spurs haters

Where are Barry and Legler on these this year? They would pick MethKC no doubt.

Interesting to see that ESPN has 16 experts, when actually 3-4 at most know what they're talking about.

No surprise Heat fans picked against the spurs... Adande, Izzy Gutierrez, fat boy Windhorst, Haberstroh
As long as Romo don't show up to the games... We good

All of these predictions are moot until Ibaka's status is determined. If he's even slowed down and his effectiveness is limited by the calf, the Thunder are in trouble tbh.

Just surprised that the spurs have several people picking them to win this series.
All of these predictions are moot until Ibaka's status is determined. If he's even slowed down and his effectiveness is limited by the calf, the Thunder are in trouble tbh.
He has already been listed as probable. I think that means he is fine. May be wrong, but that is how I am interpreting it.
I think it is telling that the "experts" are about evenly split on the series. So is a lot of Spurstalk, tbh.
All that says to me is that none of us know…except maybe for Tony Brothers…he might know.

It's Thunder in a rout (5 or 6) or Spurs in 7 b/c of HCA. I don't see us routing the Thunder in 5 or winning game 6.

The fuck? :lmao Legler is a huge spurs homer. He jizzes over the spurs ball movement, experience, and coaching prowess like every fucking year. He's even said that of all the current top teams he'd love to play for the spurs because everyone gets involved. Do you actually watch ESPN or do you just like making shit up?

Elhassen is the one who constantly picks against the Spurs and he's always wrong. He's trying to reverse jinx us.

Pretty sure he's too stupid to even know what a reverse jinx is.
It's funny how people think these analysts pick winners based on who they "like."
They're trying to pick the winner. They don't pick a team they think will lose, just because they like them. In the same way, they aren't going to pick against the Spurs (thinking they'll win) just because they are "haters."
I remember this same shit in the 2012 WCF.

So ridiculous, my gosh. 56% of them are HATERS, HATERS, HATERS!!! The other 44% are the only ones that know what they're talking about.

Wow. Beyond wrong. What the hell did they find out between 'probably' this morning and 'out for the duration' this afternoon?
Might want to be changing those Thunder calls, experts.

Black analysts are 2/3rds in favor of the Thunder.

Legler was all Spurs in 7 , but with the news on Ibaka he sees it going Spurs in 6.

I just heard Broussard on the radio and he said he only picked the Thunder in 6 because he can't picture them beating us in a Game 7. FWIW, Scott Van Pelt, who interviewed him, tried to waffle against his initial pick for us to win the Championship, but stuck to his pick in the end and sees us winning in 7. Broussard even mentioned that if Ibaka is out for an extended time (this was before news broke out that he's done for the playoffs) that may hurt us because they'll play small ball and that would take Splitter out the game.

That can't be the final update. No one in their right mind would pick OKC now that Ibaka is injured--not even Gutierrez or some other joke analyst.

You're severely underestimating Gutierrez. Anyway, he votes what he wants. He wants a Miami three-peat and knows it's less likely to happen if the Spurs are Lebron's opponent.
No one remembers if you vote with the crowd. They remember if you were the maverick and you're right.

Gutierrez co-hosts a radio show with Bruce so he gets his daily dose of Spurs basketball. For an outsider he's probably reasonably well informed.

Gutierrez is probably one of the worst basketball analysts who has ever been featured on ESPN. I would honestly trust any spurstalk poster from Kool on up to generate a more coherent analysis than Gutierrez has ever produced in his life.
