I agreed with most people on this board that Duncan is well defended by Perk. Would he be able to stop 2003 Duncan? I think NO.

Doubtful considering he'd have been 18 years old.

Yeah he could defend him, i.e., be matched up with him in the pregame lineups.

03 Duncan would then score 40 with 18 rebounds and 6 blocks.

Perk would likely get tossed a few minutes into the 4th quarter when he realizes how overrated he is.

Duncan use to destroy him when he was in Boston.

2003 Duncan nearly had a quadruple double in Game 6 of the Finals.

I'm pretty sure he did. The stat guy screwed him over.

Nobody could, that's basically why the Spurs won the title. Double and Triple teams were going to him.

LOL. 2003 Duncan would drop 30 and 15 on him with another a quarter left in the game. Nobody could stop him.

He cant guard him now he gets away with holding and pushing Duncan off his spot but he's such a liability and a big reason they will lose. Crybaby faggot.

He can, but he should not. TD is going to score 30 points every game.

I don't think that Perkins defends duncan overall that well....it's that in combination with ibaka protecting the rim Perkins is great in guarding duncan. He is stronger than duncan and has an advantage when duncan try's to back him down....if duncan faces the basket he has the advantage but with ibaka protecting the rim it makes Perkins looks better than he is....all Perkins can do is out strength duncan when duncan backs him down, that's it.

03 Duncan was on some Goku super saiyan level. Perkins would get worked

Lol no. Duncan's straight back to the basket game hasn't been that great for a few years now. He still does well against terrible or undersized defenders, but the drawback of his weight loss is the inability to bully people anymore. 2003 Duncan took shaq tbh

If Shaq couldn't stop 2003 Duncan, Perkins would've been on the bench the entire time.

I became a big fan in of 04-05. I'd imagine that 03 Duncan (23 ppg, 13 RPG, 3 BPG) was the basketball equivalent to Hendrix at the Monterey Pop in '67

Duncan was 11-19 27 points in Game 1. So who was guarding him? I think Perkins was getting credit for Ibaka's shotblocking.

If 2003 Duncan pulled up in a DeLorean the league would be fucked with 0 bigs with interior presence to guard Tim or make him work.

Could 2003 Duncan defend Perkins? That's the real question here.

My memory is failing me and I can't seem to remember the players that used to defend Timmy well back then. I feel like Robert Horry always did a decent job. Back in those days and it was the long athetlic guys that used to bother him a bit. These days it's the opposite, tbh
