This is set up all too perfectly for us.

- Up 2-0

- Playing excellent team ball

- Confidence

BUT, this is all set up for us to fail.

-- Back to Meth-City with an energized crowd.

-- Ref ball be ready to take over

-- Ibaka coming back from his "injury" will go off

-- Westchimp and Beta find their groove.

-- Tie series 2-2 thus killing our confidence.

-- Ref ball back at SA. Down 2-3

-- Back to MethCity for the 2-4 series defeat so the NBA can see a cool Ibaka "comeback" story and a finals preview of the past two MVPs.

Thunder play with 3 players...Durant, Westbrook, and Ibaka...and win by 18.

P.S.
Durant is stripped of his MVP and it is given to Ibaka.

No, OP, there is no way we lose this game. Is Sef going to score 20 again, is Ibaka going to go 11/11, or is Harden walking through that door? No? Ok.

At the beginning of the third quarter, the Serge signal lights up the Oklahoma city sky line.....there's a crime somewhere!!!!!! No time to waste, serge transforms into..........Bak man, with cat like reflexes and deft precision, he leaps toward center court, just as the thunder logo opens up revealing the fire man pole which he slides down into his secret underground lair beneath the arena........moments later, he's communicating with OKC PD Commissioner Billy Bob Jimbo Gordon. Quick, a masked criminal is terrorizing the city, stealing meth from helpless school children!!!!!! 12 minutes later, with the bandit safely behind bars and the city safe, Serge returns to the arena to find the thunder have gone down by 18 to those dastardly spurs!!!!!!! He swoops in from a hole in the roof, catches a pass from Durant, does a triple somersault simultaneously dunking on Splitters head, knocking him unconscious in the process, while being fouled, which is good for a twenty point play, thunder win by two.

In all seriousness, this. I expect the Thunder to win a game or two, especially at home. Game 3 is a great opportunity for them to get the first. Ibaka's return puts pressure on Splitter and Duncan not to get abused in the post and to fight for rebounds. It also means Durant no longer has to play post defense when Serge is on the floor, which is where the Spurs were getting away with murder because KD has no idea how to be a post defender. Pop is sure to have a strategy for when Ibaka is on the floor and Parker's driving lanes suddenly disappear. But unless Jackson and Sefolosha get their heads out of their asses, and they get more contributions from Collison and Adams, they're not going to be aided much.

On the optimistic side, the Spurs have lost only twice when leading a series 2-0.

In 2004, they lost to the Lakers after going up 2-0 and extending their winning steak to 17. They then lost 4 straight.

In 2012, they lost to OKC after going up 2-0 and extending their winning steak to 20. They then lost 4 straight.

No big winning streaks here folks. :)

I'm not surprised if we lose by 5+. The Thunder role players are due for a decent offensive performance. Serge Ibaka will have more of an effect on the offensive side of the ball...he gives them another option as a pick and pop forward. Defensively he'll have less lateral mobility which will particularly hinder his ability to defend the pick and roll.

Only those thinking they're going to see Game 2 all over again en route to a 3-0 lead are in for a rude awakening. Ibaka's not going to win them the series, but they're going to play better at home. As long as the Spurs play their game and keep it close, we'll all be fine. Going out and getting stomped like they did in Game 3 of the '12 series wouldn't be ideal.

Just stop already. This isn't set up for shit except for the Thunder losing this series. The Spurs played pretty poorly from the second quarter on. They will adjust and be fine. If the Spurs won this game the series would have been over. With or without Ibaka the Thunder were going to play balls out. See ya Wednesday.

Alot of the Spurs poor playing also had to do with the fact that the Thunder played alot better defensively. The only way the Spurs can even the scales is by playing better defense.

Just gotta get the split in OKC. Game 4 is likely ours. Spurs in 5.

Worst-case scenario is a 3-game series with 2 in SA. Spurs in 7.

It won't be a choke if they lose. The first two games OK City was short handed which directly lead to the two wins. Losing after going up two games now would only mean Thunder are the better team when healthy.
