Pop gives no fucks. He's sure to be furious about tonight's performance but I can't imagine he's shaken by any of this.

"We're a free throw shooting team" I really love that Brooks stated that as his teams identity following game 2 Dude knows where his bread is buttered

Can't blame Brooks for this cheap ass ploy, he's trying to save his job. If they lose this series in any fashion other than 7 he's out of a job tbh.

I'm glad Pop fired that zinger though, and I'm even more happy that the Spurs went on record to say they didn't believe Ibaka would be out for the whole series before Game 1 even started.

I was waiting for the soft card, tbh. He said it in a subtle way, but I wished he had just called it what it was.

did anyone in the media call out the Thunder for lying their asses off, or Brooks being as bad of an actor as he is a coach? Or did they just run with the Willis Reed miracle storyline?

Aldridge asked him about FTs in the between quarters interview I think and he said "It's what we do." This team is under no illusions they live at the line and win at the line.

The Thunder don't even make the Finals in 2012 without serious ref help. The same is true this year. We should be playing the Clippers right now.

Scott Brooks couldn't even keep a straight face in the pregame press conference when talking about Ibaka's return.

He was laffin. :lol

I don't think these two organizations like each other.

Were there any issues between Presti and Pop?

Were there any issues between Presti and Pop?

What are you talking about? Pop was facetiously delivering a good ribbing to Sam Presti. That's all.

Congratulations on your team setting a record for the largest single quarter free throw differential in NBA history (22 to 0) :toast

I'm talking about when Presti was in SA. Some here have mentioned that there was issues between them.

Have there? Pop's said nothing but good things about Presti since Presti left. I'd be curious to know if there were issues. I had no idea.

That's why I was curious. And since Russ mentioned that the two organizations didn't like each other I thought I'd inquire.

Just out of curiosity where/when did Westbrick mention that?

_____________

I'm not sure if there is any WORST call that has ever been made than the Patty Mills Corner 3 that was not only waived off after it swished through the net, but Patty was then assessed a (MOST RIDICULOUS of) offensive foul.

All this game has guaranteed is a G5.

Spurs, and Pop are going to be playing Dallas G7 mode the rest of the series. Pop will devise a way to make ICRAPA a non-issue and either get him in foul trouble, or make him disappear.

Basketball Karma Gods can't be pleased with the Thunders lies and dishonesty about Serge's 'injury'. That will come back to bite them. ICRAPA can't have another game like that in this series. Pop won't allow it. I'd just stick either Tiago or Jeff Ayers to shadow Serge and cancel him out completely.

Coaches like Brooks need gimmicky shit to compete. I remember Stotts pretending to call a timeout and Lillard driving to the paint and scoring. That's just desperation shit. You knew when every Thunder player was saying Serge wasn't coming back, it was a coached speech.

I hope Brooks loses his job. On second thought, I hope he keeps it. Last thing we need is a real coach in OKC.

Pop said it with a smile.

It was good natured imo.

Pop has already acknowledged ibakas return was important for them and definitely helps them. He clearly still believes we can beat them with better effort and play by other comments.

Probably the Grizzlies, but that wasn't ref help, it was a blessing from an even higher power.

They weren't good enough. The Thunder were the better team. Even if Cliff Paul didn't throw game 5 I'm sure the Thunder would have won in 7.
