Green only player on the team carrying a positive plus-minus, but he can't get in the game over Ginobili and Beli, who are at negative double-digits. Pop will never really understand why the Spurs are winning in this era.

15 point lead at half lmao. Pathetic Spurs team. Should have tanked in the season for a lottery pick.. Would have been better than being backdoor swept.

Goal tends, travel, why call them?
Yeah the travel should've been called, bu tthat wasn't a goaltend. Ball was definitely going up.
So +3 points plus a missed travel call on Durant so far (assuming Pop is correct). I actually didn't notice the travel on Durant so I'd have to see a replay.

sexinthatsx
05-27-2014, 09:07 PM
I think that will be it for me also, especially since I no longer live in San Antonio. Regardless of what the NBA says, too many of these games are pretty much unwatchable because of the crappy officiating. It's pretty bad when fans all around the country call it the OKC treatment when a team gets so many favorable calls.
As far as I'm concerned, if the Spurs are going to get called for the fouls anyway, then they should go "Bad Boy Pistons" on them and lay those Thunder players out! Make Durant and Westbrook think twice about coming into the paint.
The Spurs don't play that way. I can only see Baynes or Ayers doing something like that

Spurs21Fan4Ever
05-27-2014, 09:07 PM
Green, while bad on offense, is a good defender, only guy who can stop Westbrook. He had 9 minutes in the first half. Marco, who thinks defense isn't important, had 11 minutes. Also, where was Leonard?! He's the only guy that has a prayer's chance on Durant. He goes out, Pop puts Marco in, and Durant scores 8 straight sure enough. Pop is an idiot.

Keep coming back year after year with the same team, have a great regular season record which gets their fans all pumped up with the regular season record, then cave in the playoffs and get run over by a younger more athletic team.
We have seen this story for how many years in a row now and the Spur year after year keep trying to win with the same team. Last year was a fluke because of the injury to Westbrook took OK City down.

SupremeGuy
05-27-2014, 09:12 PM
What happened to our offense? It started off looking great, then a few turnovers by frenchie and now it's dead. Pop waits too fucking long to take frenchie out and refuses to counter Adams with Baynes. He's a stubborn old fool and there's no way we'll win if he keeps frenchie in there when he's getting stripped left and right and Adams is tearing up Splitter and Diaw. Nothing else to say, tbh.
Spurs don't have a single fastbreak point. Unreal

If the Spurs get back door swept again, I'm done with this team. It's fools gold to have the best regular season record, just to play like pansies against OKC. I can't believe this is even the same team. Ibaka or not, the Spurs must've been castrated during that 3 day break between games 2 and 3. And the thing is, they don't even look like they care. They're not hungry, they're not fighting, they've just given up - just like 2012.

Yea no blaming the refs in this one. Spurs just look totally outmatched in every aspect. Okc makes this team look really old.
And stars win in the playoffs, and our stars are too old to carry this team. We rely on role players to be successful, and when they're not playing well (like the past two games), it's impossible for us to win against a good team. Miami 3-peat looking more and more likely imo.

I don't think he even touched the ball all that much. Yes, he had a bad turnover, but all in all, he only had two for the half. He wasn't the one missing layups.
His handles are suspect at best, something you don't want to believe, but it's pretty evident. You don't agree with that, but if you're looking for a reason why he's not out there, look no further than that.

So far the shady calls in this game have been:
1) A missed and 1 foul that should've been granted to Durant (SA benefits net +1 point)
2) A missed foul where Tiago was pushed in the back (OKC benefits net +1/2 points, depending on how many free throws Tiago makes)
3) A missed call where Westbrook should've been called for being out of bounds, leading to a wide open dunk (OKC benefits +2 points)
-1 + 2 + 2 = +3 points in favor of OKC which is not bad at all. We're losing by way, way more than that.

Sometimes being too professional and cordial makes one team soft.... :(
It is not being soft. OK City is better. OK City is too athletic for the Spurs.

I think the Spurs need to post up Ibaka. It will slow the game down and take away a lot of the dribbling turnovers in the backcourt. I understand wanting to be fresh and limiting minutes, but that doesn't matter against certain teams. The Spurs need to play from the low block. It will take away a lot of the shot blocking from help defense and also cause the refs to make calls due to the physicality down low. Enough of this jump shooting bullshit, it is time to pound this fucking team.

The Spurs aren't playing to their strengths at all right now. There's no Ginobili/Splitter screen and roll that was a staple of the first two playoff series. Splitter is a statue and has no idea what to do right now. Danny Green isn't getting any screens run for him for a catch and shoot. Leonard gets no screens whatsoever to try to get by his man off the dribble. He's expected to be stationary and then suddenly explode off the dribble to beat his man. He knows he can't so he settles for long jumpers. Diaw is taking long jumpers instead of posting up on Durant putting pressure on him defensively. Durant has free reign out there right now without a care in the world.

It just looks like a completely different Spurs team in game 3 and 4. They're playing so passively - and Tony and Timmy don't usually suck this much two games in a row. Westbrick had one ticky tack trip to the line, but it remains to be seen if the refs won't call that in favor of the spurs because our guards haven't even tried. If Tony tries to bull his way into the rim and initiates contact and the refs don't call that at least once, then yes that one trip by Westbrick where he bulled his way to the rim and was awarded free throws can be considered illegitimate (+2 for OKC).
We don't know if it's illegitimate yet or not unless Parker tries the same thing. If the refs awarded free throws at least once, then it evens out and it's OK.

Green finally used the same thing that people use on him. lol
The key to this game could be something as simple as a pump fake.

I don't know - With the way the Spurs played in games 1 and 2, they looked totally unbeatable. I just find it hard to believe that Ibaka makes that much of a difference. It just looks like a completely different Spurs team in game 3 and 4. They're playing so passively - and Tony and Timmy don't usually suck this much two games in a row. I wouldn't be so upset if the Spurs were still playing pretty good and just got beat by a few points - but this is looking like a royal beatdown so far.
Sometimes the road plays mind games with role players. They'll play better in San Antonio. Pretty much just basic psychology. I'm okay with losing all 3 games in OKc. Just got to win in SA.

Westbrook right by green
Spurs under 40% shooting each of the last two games.

TP can rest on limping Reggie, now if Danny can corral Russel. This aint over yet

Hope somehow Durant, Westbrook, Ibaka, Perkins and even Adams suffer some injury.
Don't just hope. Send in Ayers to get the job done. Tell him to play as physical as possible.

Splitter is doing nothing out there but letting Ibaka hang under the rim. If he's not going to be involved in the offense whatsoever and not rebound then Bonner is going to have to be used to space the floor. Have Splitter out there with Ginobili and see if you can get that screen and roll going.

Perkins bit on the pump fake but he jumped straight up. Ibaka then blocked it clean IMO.
