this, even being a "fake tough guy", the guy was just amazing yesterday, I hope he plays, if we can not win a fucking team with an injured guy, do not deserve to make the finals

The dude's a religious lunatic who thinks his "miraculous" recovery is part of God's plan or some nonsense. He's irrational by definition. I wouldn't put too much stock into anything he says. He's just trying to make a shitty metaphor comparing basketball games to actual war. Apparently, he doesn't realize that he completely trivializes the deaths of our nation's military members by doing so.

Can not believe this dumbass says something like this around memorial day.. you play basketball and get paid millions for it, what kind of warrior are you talking about?

If the spurs can't beat the Thunder with Ibaka playing healthy then they don't deserve to go to the finals.

It's disgusting. The utter lack of empathy and breathtaking arrogance is astonishing. Apparently he thinks the omniscient creator of the universe cares more about healing his calf for a basketball game than saving the lives of innocent people who die every day at the hands of natural causes. Some people like to bring up Plantinga's famous (or infamous) free will defense for the so called "problem of evil" which is why I'm careful to cite only natural causes here where free will does not apply (actually, the notion of free will is dubious to begin with, but I'd rather not open that whole can of worms right now...)
Now, Ibaka is comparing his :cry :cry "warrior spirit" for playing basketball through an injury :cry :cry to our nation's wonderful military men and women. What a fucking travesty. Our military people are literally out there risking their lives to ensure our freedom. Ibaka is putting a stupid ass ball in a basket.

I think this ''warrior' thing is becoming a big time narrative for the OKC press. During the practice presser today, this one guy was asking virtually everybody on the Spurs team and coaching staff "what do you want to say to someone who has had so much 'adversity' in his life…you know, lots of war in the Congo when he was growing up, not really knowing even today if he has 18 or 20 brothers and sisters".
They asked virtually everybody that. Pop of course praised the guy to high heaven (always a classy response about another person), all the Spurs were quick to say how good he was, but god love Manu…
Manu said something like:
I have great respect for anyone who has been through adversity and some of us don't know what that is...but being down 0-two is NOT adversity."
I just absolutely loved it!

ICRAPA needs to be tested for PED's.
OKC and ICRAPA are DONE. Pop will turn this Congo Clown into an afterthought. If Pop can fairly neutralize a team with both Dirk AND Monta Ellis in the same game, He can eliminate ICRAPA.
KD and Pestbrook can shoot their 30 shots each, make their 9-10, but we'll go back to basics tomorrow and take away their FT's. That 22 OKC FT disparity in the 3rd Q was an embarrassment to the Officials, the NBA and any remaining integrity and the credulity of the shady officiating that perpetuates.
Spurs are used to playing above the shady officiating. We'll overcome and win G4 tomorrow. Because we want it and we deserve it.

NBC executives -"We feel this could be a great opportunity to tell your story, can you act?"
Serge-"I shouldn't have a problem with that" :lol

How embarrassing...asked Tim/Kawhi about the adversity in Ibaka's life when these guys have lost their mom/dad in their early teens...

Tim last his when he was in the pros correct? I remember him missing a playoff game in 02 for one? I think it was against Seattle but yes he probably lost the other in his teens. Kawhi though you know the story, you are correct how can they ask them about this when they lost their parents! That has to be devistating at a young age.

My nigga Malik filled in for Timmy and dropped 28/13 (they lost though). Drob was out too.
Next game Timmy had a near triple double.

What a difference in attitude... Eventhough he is a grade A kunt, this dude played even during garbage time, meanwhile Pop pulls the plug with like 9 minutes left, for crying out loud
And that is considering that we rest these fucks for the entire season, so why the fuck would you rest them with 9 minutes left on the most important game of the season?
And then you complain in press conference that the team lacked a "step on their necks" attitude, what the fuck do you want them to do with that faggotish coaching

I need the Spurs to beat those fuckers more than ever before simply for that gem from Manu.

I wish journalist would ask these questions

Tim lost his mother when he was like 13. Breast cancer, I think. That is when he stopped training as a swimmer (plus the pool where he swam was destroyed in a hurricane) and started working on basketball skills. The person who died when he was a pro was a father-figure. I just can't remember whether it was his biological father or not. But I know that both parents are gone.

His mother died the day before his 14th birthday and his father died in 2002.

To be fair about the military thing, Ibaka is probably referring to the Congo's army and not that of the US. The Memorial Day stuff is just a coincidence.

Nobody beats a congolese's disgrace. Just the fact of being congolese itself is a big disgrace. Probably his mother had 30 born dead babies before him, lost another 20 due to starving, 15 by some sickness and he is the result of a grupal rape by a gang of muslim terrorists.
But seriously, nigga lost his mother early and had his father imprisoned in the Congo's civil war.

Ibaka doesn't need to practice, he needs to be running lines to get back into shape.

Dude, the way the refs were calling that game there was a 0% of us winning, seriously, it was done and Pop wanted to save some legs for game 4

You know when RW hit that half court shot, you should've known it was over.

When they took Patty's corner three away on that horrifically ridiculous call, I knew the League had OKC winning this game. That was the worst call I've seen in the NBA since they allowed Fisher's .04 shot to count.
Shastafarian
05-27-2014, 03:00 PM
It's not .04. That would be four one hundredths. It was four tenths of a second left. That would be 0.4

Sometimes you have to play it out just to prevent them from getting confident. I bet you they're more confident than if we had forced them to actually earn that win.
